Los diarios que llevó Bonamín durante 1975 y 1976 reúnen la doble condición de fuente historiográfica insustituible y aporte de peso a las causas contra los crímenes de lesa humanidad perpetrados por la dictadura militar. Al mismo tiempo son un testimonio en primera persona por el que desfilan, junto a nimiedades cotidianas, secuestros, asesinatos, torturas.
A cuarenta años del golpe del 24 de marzo de 1976, dos jóvenes investigadores presentan el primer estudio sistemático acerca del Vicariato castrense. Lucas Bilbao y Ariel Lede Mendoza corren el velo sobre la presencia de los capellanes en los centros clandestinos de detención, y explican su rol en la legitimación religiosa de la tortura como método y en el consuelo moral a los problemas de conciencia de los represores.
