Eight. Great read. Keeps you on the edge throughout

Long and Creepy. Good book with a fair number of twists and turns. Somewhat ponderous, though. The pacing improved in the second half, but cut 50 pages and it would be a better read.

Prepare for Action. What a surprise this book was. Being a fan of Rollins, Cussler, McDermott and Reilly, this was exactly what I was looking for. Action plus, an exotic location with an ancient history and a group of protagonists pitted against an enemy that would send shivers down the spine of the most courageous. Highly recommended to anyone that craves a read akin to a roller coaster ride.

I'd give it EIGHT stars if I could.... This is an action/monster movie in book form! Every bit as good as Matthew Reilly. Fans of the original Predator movie will also enjoy. Action-packed and horrific - what more do you need? Looking forward to the next one.

A good read.. If you like Andre Norton, Alien, Starship Troopers, Arachnophobia and Anaconda, this is the book for you. There are elements from all these books/movies found in this novel. The writing is quite competent and really pulls you in. It’s a good Sunday read.

Spellbinding. I’m no fan of spiders. When I saw this book come up in my ‘Recommended’ list and read the blurb, I ‘noped’ hard. But then I bought the book and started reading it. And it is one hell of a ride through the jungle. Twists, turns, surprises, and more. And, somehow, made my arachnophobia just a tiny bit worse. It may suffer from too many ‘Climax’ moments but it’s still a damn good read. Though maybe not for the faint of heart...or the fearful of spiders. 8/10 - hoping for a sequel

Eight - Terror has a new species. I thoroughly loved this book from start to finish. Holds the reader’s attention and interest at all times. Would love to see this made into a movie. It would be superb. I’ll never look at a spider the same way again….lol.

Excellent!. I live well written horror books and this is definitely the best I’ve read in a long while.
