Jiuzhaigou National Park by Lucy Dickie Book Summary
This book tells the story of Jiuzhaigou - a national park located on the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau. In Tibetan legend the bodhisattva deemed the eastern part to be the most forested and fertile of all the plateau.
You can follow the journey I made when I visited Jiuzhaigou in 2015. It involves me arriving at the national park and dealing with the ups and downs of being on a shoestring budget. You’ll also be able to get a grasp of the amazing features that are found in this area – the Karst Mountains, the bluer-than-blue lakes and the Tibetan culture. And of course, there can’t be a book set in China without reference to their beloved giant pandas.
