Envoyé en reportage dans la colonie belge (nous sommes en 1930), Tintin affronte la bande d’Al Capone, qui essaye de mettre la main sur les immenses richesses du sous-sol congolais. L’Afrique, représentée ici par Hergé de manière naïve, reflète l’esprit paternaliste d’une Belgique colonialiste au début des années trente.
Tintin a traversé le siècle de son créateur Georges Remi, alias Hergé (1907-1983) et il est l’un des plus célèbres héros de bande dessinée. Mêlant enquête, mystère et humour, ses aventures sont ancrées dans l’actualité qui a marqué le vingtième siècle.
