Very intriguing reading. Well researched time periods offer mysteries that the principal characters must solve. Loved each story.

Ok read. I thought it was an ok read since there was three stories in one it was. Long book I liked the fact that it was set in the 1800’s that intrigued me.

Boring. Very Boring

What a Twist. Really enjoyed this and was totally surprised and happy with the ending.

Can’t put them down!!. These stories are wonderfully compelling. I find myself totally immersed in them and not wanting them to end!!!

Past crimes. Boring and too many characters, too much detail re cooking and surroundings. No continuity.

Amazing stories. Three stories that are entirely different from each other, from different times. The talented author has done an amazing job of approaching mysteries solved with the techniques that were available, mostly observation and inquisition. The fully developed characters and stories , with a twist, are superb.

Good storey. Enjoyed this book very much well worth reading

Past Tense Perfect. Three short stories by a mistress of historical crime, each engaging in its own way. I know Captain Lacey from previous books but Leonidas the retired gladiator and Kate Holloway the cook are new friends whose adventures I hope to enjoy as I would have enjoyed one of Mrs Holloway’s meals.
