Wow!!. Wow! This is my first Scarlett Cole book and I’m a forever fan because this is one of the best romantic suspense stories I’ve read in a long time. Her storyline is smart and sophisticated, her characters are multi-faceted and they all have very personal reasons why they chose the careers they’re in. It was fascinating learning about casino dealers, the art of card counting and the laws about money laundering that made this such a compelling story. FBI Agent Amy Murray and Eagle Security expert Cabe Moss are part of a multi-agency undercover operation but it’s their instant sexual attraction to each other that adds a complication they never saw coming. As their long term undercover mission continues day by day the passion Cabe and Amy share brings these lovers closer to what they hope will be a permanent relationship. The rising tension of each new development in this suspenseful drama had me holding my breath and rooting for the good guys and this author did not disappoint! I read an early copy of this book supplied by St. Martin’s Press through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

4 Stars. We've gotten to know Cabe, the hero, in the previous two books. He is part of the Eagle Securities team along with Six and Mac, the heroes from book 1 & 2. Amy, the heroine, is an FBI agent and new to the series. We have continued side characters that have been in previous books. The biggest thing we have learned about Cabe that affects this book is that he lost his fiance while she was on active duty two years prior. I'm a bit conflicted when a deceased significant other is involved. On one hand, I don't want to see a main character pining for anyone other than their love interest in the book. On the other hand, it also shows how the new love interest was able to help them move on when no one else could. I think the author did a good job of creating a balance with Cabe. He was still mourning his deceased fiance but he also recognized that Amy was different and there was something real there. I also like how the author had each book with their own storyline that ultimately tied all three of the books together. Overall, this is a great romantic suspense series that I have enjoyed. Sad to see this series end, but what a way for it to go!. Yet again, I am sad to see the conclusion of a much loved series from one of my favorite authors. However, I look forward to seeing what else she comes up with. Cabe and Amy’s chemistry sizzled throughout the entire story, despite their best efforts at fighting their attraction to each other. But I think what got me the most while reading this story, was Cabe’s insecurity, not sure if that’s the correct word, let’s go with fear, of falling for someone and having something happen to them. The tragic circumstances behind the loss of his beloved fiancée were horrible, and I believe he was justified in the way he felt. And despite his fears, he fell hard for Amy. And I loved how protective of her he was. And let’s not forget Amy. She’s strong, independent and completely capable of taking care of herself, however she’s putty in Cabe’s arms. And even though she thinks she doesn’t need to depend on anyone else, she’s wrong. Cabe is a perfect fit for her in every way that matters. This book was everything I could wish for in a Romantic Suspense story. A definite must read.

Another winner. Another winner by Scarlett Cole. This is a great series & I would definitely put it up there as a favourite with Maya Banks’s KGI & Julie Ann Walker’s BKI. The emotions in this story were overwhelming at times with the haunted pasts of both Amy & Cabe. Both suffered emotional losses of loved ones but only Amy has a chance to make a difference for her loss. They’re brought together by a man hunt for different reasons. FBI agent Amy is searching for missing women & Cabe is trying to crack a money laundering ring. Eagle Security is helping with an interagency case bringing strong willed Amy in his sights & forcing him to move on with his life. The height of suspense is when Amy’s life is put in jeopardy in the line of duty. We get caught up in two chases, 1 the pursuit of justice & 2 the pursuit of love which were both written very well into one great book. Definitely recommend to read. Looking forward to reading more in this series. I voluntarily reviewed this book from Net Galley.

Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary although there is an on-going investigation from book one Under Fire. Told from dual third person perspectives (Cabe and Amy) DEEP COVER follows the building but forbidden relationship between thirty-four year old, former Navy SEAL Cabe Moss, and twenty-nine year old, FBI agent Amy Murray. The FBI and the CIA has called in help from Eagle Securities in their hunt to take down a money-laundering operation, and a potential human trafficking ring operating out of one of San Diego’s largest gambling venues, The Lucky Seven Casino, owned by father and son Hemingway and Faulkner Woods. The secondary and supporting characters are colorful, fun, sexy and sassy. We are re-introduced to Six and Louisa (Under Fire #1), and Mac and Delaney (Final Siege #2), as well as a number of former SEALs now working for Eagle Securities. With the approach of Six and Louisa’s upcoming nuptials it was fun watching a group of former SEALs trying to plan the wedding for their childhood friend. The requisite evil has many faces including Hemingway and Faulkner Woods, and the Russian syndicate Ivan Popov, Sergei Lemtov and Konstantin Sokolov. DEEP COVER is a story of friendship, brotherhood, moving on from the past, and letting go. The premise is edgy, engaging and heartfelt; the romance is flirty, passionate and moving; the characters are intelligent, realistic and inspiring. DEEP COVER is a suspenseful and emotionally charged tale as one man comes to grips with his past, moving towards his own happily ever after.

Great addition to the series. Cabe has watched his 2 best friends and partners in business fall in love. He had that once upon a time, but 2 years ago his fiancee was killed by an IED overseas while on active duty. When he gets a job to work with the beautiful Amy from the FBI, he can't help but fall for her. Amy is tired of guys who hate that she has a job where she puts her life on the line day after day, but when she meets Cabe, she realizes that there are still guys out there that don't feel intimated by her. Even though it is dangerous for them to work together and sleep together ... they feel it is worth the risk. This is a high action romance that will have you wondering what's gonna happen next. I just loved how things just seemed to click for Cabe and Amy ... I thought they were really good together and that they understood each other like they had already been together forever. And of course, who doesn't love a strong alpha who has a protective side. Great addition to a great series.
