A PILGRIMAGE TO DEATH. Reverend Cici,has taken on another role, with the murder of her twin, a year ago, and now a murder of a fellow parishioner, with the same method. Sam, a friend, hiking partner, and a detective, on weekly joints now, and made better sermons for her, With 2 murder victims now known to her, she feels there will be more, if she doesn’t look into it. Is there secrets that never was told to her, a reason for the wolf emblem. A new author, for me, and she delivered a good, descriptive plot, of the settings, also of the characters. Readers will definitely enjoy this mystery story. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Loved it. Wow! I couldn't put it down. I love the concept of the bond between the sisters surviving even death. The book was heavy of mystery and suspense. I was guessing til the end. I love the budding relationship and connection between Cici and Sam. As a romance lover, I'd love to see the romance evolve faster, but I understand this is a mystery...so I can be patient! I can't wait to see what the rest of the series brings!

A Pilgrimage to Death. This is the first book in this new series and the first book I've read by this author. This suspenseful mystery takes you through twists and turns you won't see coming. In this small town people aren't who they seem. You get danger, lies, betrayal and so much more. Cici and Sam try to figure out who is killing people and who is all involved. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Excellent!. A fast-paced murder mystery with a rich setting in America’s oldest capital city. An engaging cast of sympathetic heros, organized criminals and supernatural elements make for a fun and compelling read.

She love Jesus, but she cusses a little.. Alexa Padgett - A Pilgrimage to Death Reverend Cici has returned to her home town of Santa Fe, New Mexico to take over as pastor in her home church. She has also returned to try to solve the murder of her twin sister Anna Carmin. With the help of her long time friend Sam, they will track through the ugly side of drug trafficking in their lovely small town. Sometimes though, the snake is hiding way too close to home. With some Divine and ghostly intervention Sam and Cici will find the truth. This is a well balanced story with memorable and likeable characters. What I liked most about Cici is she loves Jesus but she cusses a little. The supporting characters are all as essential to the story as the main ones. Good pacing, sharp prose, made this a very enjoyable - and often difficult to put down, story. Happy to find this is the first book in a series. Happy to see where Cici and Sam go from here! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A Pilgrimage to Death. This is a great mystery with twists and turns and just a smidgeon of romance mixed in. The characters are all great and there are lots of them, some nice, some not so nice and some more evil than you expect. Kept me guessing right to the end.

Twisty Mystery. Ms Padgett delivers quirky interesting characters in a tale that will have you racing to the end! Having enjoyed her Seattle Sound series, I wasn't sure what to expect, this departure from romance suits Alexa. I enjoyed the suspense and getting to know the intriguing Rev. Cici and Sam. I look forward to the next mystery in this series.
