De la ira by Sêneca Book Summary
Las obras filosóficas de Lucio Anneo Séneca (ca. 4 a.C.-65 d.C.) han ejercido un duradero influjo sobre la cultura occidental y contienen una formulación significativa de las ideas del estoicismo maduro.
En "De la ira", perteneciente a sus tratados sobre las pasiones humanas, Séneca pretende analizar en profundidad la ira, para él el sentimiento más nefasto que existe.
Estudia sus causas, definiciones, estados y consecuencias, pero sobretodo trata de la relación directa que tiene sobre el hombre, más concretamente sobre el hombre virtuoso de la época griega, de su utilidad y de si posee alguna relación con los objetivos estoicos para dicho hombre que son: concordancia con la razón, la naturaleza y la excelencia personal del ser humano.
El recurso literario de Séneca en ésta, como en sus demás obras, es la descripción aportando argumentos factibles y ejemplos, para después “dudar de ellos y de si mismo” contradiciéndolos con preguntas opuestas o proposiciones negativas ( pero, no puede ser, pero entonces…) al explicarlos luego, lo que consigue es reafirmar aún más sus teorías...
