There. are. PICTURES!. Ok, full disclosure I adored the pictures. They were super cute and definitely helped me picture the more whimsical creatures. I think this is a great read for anyone who likes an independent woman with bad grammar, a goblin king, and some bickering. There’s also an evil sister so if that doesn’t make you want to drop everything and read it, I don’t know what will.

Such unusual weapons, that Bessie uses!. I had another fun adventure in this series. Bessie is even lower in class than the fairly ordinary (non-gentry) heroines in this series thus far. There is one scene where one might suspect the clothing the Goblin King is modeled on that of another Goblin King, in the movie Labyrinth—but Greunwald is not dark-blond & blue-eyed. He is quite the mysterious character.
