A Great for Any Hockey Fan. This is a great read. It chronicles an incredible hockey career but also helps unpack what made Scotty so incredible. There's arguably no hockey personality more interwoven into the fabric of hockey in the past 60+ years than Scotty Bowman. He was around the greatest players, coached some of the greatest teams and is the greatest coach of all time.

Another Dryden classic. I’ve read and reread “The Game” for what now seems to be a lifetime. This work represents another coda in Dryden’s capturing of what hockey represents to those who love the sport and need to understand its roots and evolution. Growing up in 1960’s and ‘70’s in central Ottawa I literally lived on the streets Bowman did during his time there and like most Canadian boys of that era hockey was everything to me. Dryden has again captured the essence of hockey through another facet - perhaps the most definitive hockey mind there is. The linkages and lineage of the game’s evolution are fascinating and in addition to paying homage to Bowman, Dryden documents Bowman’s vast knowledge of the hockey world to provide us with an insider’s history of our mutual passion - hockey. I thank both men for publishing what I am sure will become an important artifact for future generations of hockey enthusiasts.
