Loved. I not much into historical romances but decided to give this one a chance and I loved Callum and Violets story both have broken hearts and spirits. I had myself cheering for an HEA ending from the start. The storyline flowed smoothly from beginning to the end. However his father dies and being the only heir and convinced by others to take up the lairdship, but to continue he must take a wife and Marren MacLeod is chosen except he breaks it off! Now he puts his clan in great distress breaking off his betrothal to Marren MacLeod as he was supposed to marry her to avoid a clan war! However he knew she was in love with one of his best friends Keith Sutherland, he also knew Keith was madly in love with Marren too. He was a loyal friend and just could not do it and then Marren and Keith immediately married. So Grady marries a stranger Laurel Malone, an Irish woman with two children who is secretly on the run and hiding from her evil black hearted murderous brother-in-law. She only wants to be invisible with many secrets of her own where even her niece and nephew are pretending to be her children in disguise. Laurel see’s that Grady is a good man who is any woman's dream to come true. He is handsome, kind, honorable and loyal, wanting to make sure she stays here forever. Yet secrets always tend to come to the surface at some point. Both Grady and Laurel have enemies and both have abusive pasts. Grady trusts very few people but his very few comrade’s he met on his travels after running away from his evil father as a child of ten summers. How will Grady respond to Laurel’s lies and not reveal the truth about her past in Ireland? Shall he reject her, feeling all she has done is hidden the truth, feeling so deceived and heart sick? Is she just another person who he can’t trust and will betray him or is she the one who will open his heart and show him the true meaning of love, trust and compassion? Kara Griffin pens another emotional, riveting, awe-inspiring, action packed, fast paced, page-turning, romantic adventure. It has so many twists and turns with a brilliant plotting that you never know what will happen next! I was absolutely swept away in this third installment of the “Lairds of the North” series. In addition it has all the elements historical romance readers love, a book I absolutely loved! People can read as a stand alone book or in series order, but definitely expect those heartstrings to be pulled! I recommend to have a pack of tissues nearby, as it definitely shows both brutality and love in this Highland masterpiece. A spectacular novel I found I could not put down and I highly recommend! Exciting. This is my first Kara Griffin tale and I’ll definitely be reading more. I enjoyed this engaging story of love, loyalty, duty and intrigue. The characters were interesting and likeable. The banter was witty and humorous. The plot was filled with suspense, intrigue, mystery, murder and romance. The chemistry between the main characters sizzled. Thank you so much Kara for this wonderful reading experience.

The Seduction of Laird Sinclair. 5 stars. Really enjoyed. It is set in Medieval England and the Scottish Highlands. It has villains, murder, mysteries and of course, romance. I loved the characters, the story and the happy ending.
