Holly felt disappointed when he left her. She wanted to talk to him. To learn more about him. He looked like the classic soldier. Strong features and barking orders. If only he knew that those orders made her panties moist. She giggled. It was probably better he didn't know.

She'd never spent so much time in the presence of a man who wasn't a close family member. And never with such a handsome man. He was the epitome of the strong, silent protector. In her fantasies, he was a lot more than her kidnapper.

She'd never seen such a look of hunger in her husband's eyes when watching her brush her hair. It felt so intimate. So arousing. Like a forbidden erotic fantasy that teased and tempted her like nothing she'd ever experienced before. She was going crazy. That was the only explanation. She couldn't possibly like a man who kidnapped people.

She rose and went inside the small cottage. Since she was feeling crazy, she might as well cook dinner. He'd allowed her to make lunch earlier. He wouldn't object if she kept herself busy.

A while later, he barged inside. He stopped when he saw her by the kitchen sink. Had he thought she'd run away?

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"Cooking," Holly said and smiled.

"Cooking?" His eyes widened as if the word was unfamiliar to him.

"It's nothing fancy," she said and lowered her eyes. "Just some pasta and tomato sauce. I'm a little rusty."

He stared at her as if she was the domestic goddess when she was well aware she was nothing of the kind.

"Let me help," he said.

She blushed as she looked into his eyes. "Can you set the table? It's nearly done."

"Sure." He walked over to the cupboard and found plates and cutlery.

"Do you have any sugar?" she asked.

"Left shelf," he said.

She found it and added a teaspoon of sugar to bring out the tomato flavour. She tasted the sauce and gave a contented moan. She turned to place the spoon in the sink. At the same time, she crashed into her kidnapper. He grabbed her waist as she started to topple over. He pulled her hard against his body.

"Careful," he said, holding her tightly.

She felt as if she had just fallen off a cliff. All the air in her lungs seemed to have disappeared. She couldn't breathe. She opened her mouth to force herself to breathe. Immediately she saw his eyes focus on her lips. She knew he wanted to kiss her.
