Totally sucked me in!. Right from the beginning I was hooked! But maybe I’m biased, I love anything & everything by Nic & Terry. This story makes you feel like other worlds are possible. Of course, I’m a believer & this confirms it. The best modern Lovecraft story you can get! Not that Lovecraft is ever old.

Quite a roller coaster. Wow, such a wonderfully twisted wild ride! I kept thinking in the early stages that I was so familiar with this story. I thought it must be based on a a short story I had read, but I had forgotten that I had listened to a podcast with the same name. The podcast whetted my thirst, but it didn’t completely prepare me for the intense journey that was Rabbits. You will find yourself frequently thinking you know what’s going on, only to discover that you are as wrong as the characters in the story. It is really challenging to put people through this many twists and turns without losing them. Terry Miles does an amazing job of this, giving us enough information to think we *might* know what’s going on and then wrenching that out from under us. Even better, the book has a twisted, but understandable conclusion—something SciFi has been lacking since the influence of Gardner Dozois left writers thinking they are supposed to be inconclusive. This book is thoroughly engaging and entertaining. The only thing preventing me from giving it my highest praise is that the characters seem unable to say “Hello” without dropping F-bombs. The cumulative effect goes past annoying to offensive, and adds a totally avoidable barrier to full enjoyment of the story. This was a ride!!. Characters 4/5 Plot 5/5 Storytelling/Writing 4/5 Enjoyment 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 I absolutely loved this. "Rabbits" feels like it was written for someone like me. You may find you enjoy this one too if: -you were always good at those games of "find six things different in this picture" as a kid -you enjoy finding correlations and coincidences and patterns -you enjoy "weird" movies like "Donnie Darko" or pseudoscience shows like "Fringe" Definitely going to be keeping an eye out for more from this author. This was a smash-hit of a debut!

Almost lost me…but I’m happy you didn’t.. Halfway through it felt like K couldn’t fail. That changed and I devoured the last 300 or so pages in a day. Great twists and turns made for a phenomenal read. Thanks.

Fun read, would recommend.. I’ve been familiar with the author for awhile now, via Tanis, The Last Movie, and of course Rabbits. I was a bit worried about how well it would translate from podcast to book, but I was definitely pleasantly surprised. It is a true stand alone story, and no prior knowledge of the podcast is necessary…. And honestly, if forced to choose, the book is far more streamlined, edge of the seat, addictive entertainment and IMO the better telling of the story. Think of your favorite book/movie franchise, and how the books are generally always better…. I would say this is a similar situation. Either way, great read for those who enjoy the creepy and mysterious, with a lot of fast paced action, and overall, well written with likable characters.

Fantastic Find!!. Great for fans of Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. This book takes you on a rollicking journey friends m the very beginning. Touching on numerous fields of study, there is a little something for everyone. Just when you think you've grasped the premise, everything you know shifts to another dimension of reality, leaving you adrift in more questions. With engaging characters and creative concepts, this story will keep you reading well past your bedtime!
