Maybe the best fishing. If you haven’t tried this type of fishing, I highly recommend this book and Captain Craig Bailey. Being an avid flyfishermen living in the midwest, sight-fishing opportunities were limited to annual saltwater excursions. After a day with Craig I realized that some of the most challenging and entertaining fishing was right in our backyards. The only downside - you don’t eat your catch. But then there’s always the buffet at the "Dinner Bell.” This book gives a great overview of this underappreciated sport, and is great preparation for when the lake temps get up over sixty degrees and the fly rods come out of their cases.
