Great writing. Love the plot and family dynamics. A little long on the graphic sex scenes but easy to scan over. Would be nice to read more about their revenge in the end. Thanks!

Brace for impact!. The fifth book in this series has the Off the Books task force on the hunt for Juliet Prince. She’s managed to avoid capture so far but her days as a free woman may soon come to an end. I love everything about this series, these characters, and the romance, the intrigue while unraveling a mystery, and the bonus of different members of the Walker family making an appearance. So to say I was unprepared for how emotional this book would be is an understatement, I was totally and completely floored! All the feels, from heartbreak to anger than simply sadness to a feeling of solace in a beautiful ending. A definite must-read!

GRIPPING!. Wow! Where to begin. First….Job well done Nicole Edwards! Alibi was gripping, intense and finally heartbreaking. There was so much emotion put into this book. Travis has never stood so tall, even though it may have been on bended knee. This is a book that will run its gambit on all of your emotions. I look forward to see what the future may hold for the Walker family. It’s your choices in life that make the person you are. Choices made in this book….we will have to see!

Best book yet by Nicole Edwards, but I’m a bit mad at her right now. I’m going to try really hard not to give you any spoilers, so forgive me if I’m a bit vague. This is the 5th book in the Off the Books series, and the reader absolutely needs to read them in order. It helps to have read all the books regarding the huge Walker clan, but mostly that just helps put all the players in perspective. However, I would also make sure I had read Travis from the Alluring Indulgence series as well. This book was well-crafted, and it builds on the foreshadowing from the earlier books in the series. As usual, Edwards continues to develop the relationships between Brantley and Reese, as well as the developing romantic relationships between various members of the Task Force. She continues to develop the storyline which initially started in Book 1 of the series. I cannot really discuss the direction the story takes without giving things away, but I will say that as fantastic as this book was, I hated it as much as I loved it. Remember how you felt when Dumbledore is killed at the end of the sixth Harry Potter novel? Expect the same level of shock and dismay and feelings of betrayal. This novel displays a level of emotion and depth of character that isn’t needed in some of her other series, such as The Office Intrigue series. Part of that comes from her investment in the characters we keep revisiting, a different approach to writing one novel for each member of a family or social group before moving down to the next candidate on the list. It is impossible to write quality fiction about a group of characters over time without continually evolving those characters and their relationships with each other. The other part comes from the events that occur in this particular novel. It is not possible to handle the subject manner in the same way one would write a story about twins who want to woo and marry the same woman. It may take me a little while to forgive Edwards, but it won’t prevent me from anxiously awaiting Book 6. I am voluntarily leaving this unbiased review after reading a complementary advanced copy of the novel.

My fave read of 2021!!!. Besides being my favorite Nicole Edwards book EVER, and that says a lot having read them all, this book is without a doubt my favorite read of 2021. I love the Off the Books series and Brantley Walker, but this book, is much, much more than I ever expected. You know how people say 'this book hit me right in the feels' ? Well this book doesn't just hit you in the feels, it's a first round TKO in the feels. First of all it is amazingly written, the way we get to experience things from all different perspectives and know what is going on in so many different peoples' minds and hearts, is just incredible. Nicole is so good at that! Secondly it is super charged with so much emotion it will take you to so many corners of your feelings you may not know which end is up or how to recover. I am still reeling from reading it and think it may be a bit before I can open up another book. I absolutely one hundred percent LOVED this book and if you are a NE fan, you CANNOT miss this one.

Edge of Your Seat Goodness!!. OMG!! What can I say except that this book, Alibi, is by far Nicole Edwards best book yet!! Wow!! I am still reeling from everything that happened in this book. Nicole Edwards basically ripped my heart completely out in this book, and then she slowly, but surely stitched it back together again. What a ride Alibi was from the moment the book began. I don't believe I have ever cried so hard before while reading a book. Yes, people, this one is not for reading while at work or anywhere you don't want people to see you bawling like a baby, because you will bawl like a baby. There were so many times while reading this book that I did not want to continue because I could not believe what had just happened, but at the same time I had to continue reading because I could not believe what had just happened. Wow!! This one is powerful and so well written. Alibi picks up right where Deadly Coincidence left off, so, although each book comes to a complete conclusion at the end, there is still a main storyline running through them that requires you to read the four books before this one. Plus, why wouldn't you want to since this series is beyond excellent. Brantley, Reese and the rest of the "task force" are still on the hunt for Juliet Prince , who has and continues to wreck havoc in Travis Walker's life, but continues to elude the team. And it is the search and the ramifications of not finding her fast enough that makes Alibi such a great read. You will not put it down once you start! If you are looking for a fast-paced, suspense riddled series that also is hot and steamy, and brings together characters from at least 4 four of Nicole Edwards prior books then the Off the Books series is the one for you. Nicole Edwards truly is a masterful storyteller. The way she weaved all of these stories together while still keeping the main storyline of the Off the Books series together is nothing short of amazing. She is at her absolute best in Alibi. I am still trying to wrap my head around all of the events that occurred in this one even though I finished the book. Alibi was simply amazing. I cannot wait to read what is next in store for Brantley Walker and the team, because there is definitely more in store for them. I'm looking at you Reese, Trey, Magnus, and Baz!! Bravo, Nicole Edwards!! Bravo!!

Wow. This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster. As much as I loved the book, (spoiler) I am very sad that Kylie had to died. Kylie, Travis and Gage are my favorite Walker characters and with her dead it will be another story that just consist of just M/M book. It seems to me that lately your books are more about relationships between men, which is fine, but I still hope to see more books about relationships between men and women.

Emotional. This review is the briefest I have ever written for a book by Ms.Edwards. Suffice to say that she has written a book that will leave you with your mouth hanging open, shaking your head and wondering what you just read. I will say that there is an awful lot going on in Alibi as the entire Walker clan come together as well as a number of other familiar faces. This is a book that you need to read and experience for yourself. Nicole Edwards has certainly made a mark on my soul with Alibi.

Blew me away. Alibi blew me away It’s taken me a day or so to words to paper and even as I write this review I’m wondering what to say that would do this emotional read justice. I first off want to say this review will be short and sweet because I believe you need to read Alibi with no preconceived ideas, you need to read it first hand. This is the 5th book in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books Series and as you would expect there is plenty of suspense happening but this story is different because it’s brings all the Walkers back together as well as many other familiar faces. It’s an emotional read that tore me apart and put me back together again, it’s a story that will stay with me long after reading the final words and it certainly deserves every star of the five I’m giving it, if I could give it more I would. I was drawn and captivated from the first chapter and there was no putting down until the final word had been read so please make sure you have time to finish what you start. There is a lot happening in this book and I think you need to have either read the previous books in this series or The Walkers before you pick up this one. This is Nicole Edwards at her best and Alibi is now riding high next to Travis as my all time favourite reads by this very talented author. This is a must read for any Walker family fan.
