Fantastic end to a fantastic series. It’s always the sweet ones…am I right? Angelika and Airk, remember he is the dragon that Skylar broke out of Pytheios, the red king’s prison. Angelika is definitely the light to Airk’s dark, the calm to his storm. She suggests they mate to join together and unite, but Airk shoots that down. Having been in isolation and imprisoned for 500 years, his dragon is feral and he spends a lot of energy containing him….until he doesn’t. This is the last book of the series, and it was everything I had hoped it would be, and more. This has been just one huge chess match the entire series, with Pytheios always one step ahead. This storyline was fantastic, there were so many shocking moments and revelations, that honestly I’m not sure which ones shocked me more. And Pytheios, his treachery and heartless nature knows no bounds, just when you think he can’t possibly get any worse…surprise, he totally does. He is probably one of the most despised villains, at least for me, a total nightmare. Safe read with two of the sweetest characters, Angelika is like a breath of fresh air, and Airk needs her to breathe. They fight…actually he fights their attraction, but fated mates are fated for a reason. Fighting is useless, but sometimes you have to find that out the hard way. All the Almon sisters and their mates were in this one, and they bring in as many allies as they can, because this is probably one of the biggest wars that this world has ever seen. Everyone is involved, nobody is left out, because it’s a war for justice and freedom. Alasdair, and Delilah from Try As I Smite, Brimstone Inc. series, are also in this too, along with some of our favorites from the Fires Edge series. Like I said, everyone is needed in this war. Every emotion that you could feel, you do, all the emotions, laughs, tears, love, they are all in this book. Ya’ll this is the last book in this series, I know, I know, I should probably start an emotional support group so we can all sob together. She had just released the last book in her Fire’s Edge series…I am so sad, they will all be missed so much. Two of my favorite series😭. But there are babies…hint, hint. I know, I am always so subtle. This was a fantastic end to an equally fantastic series that I will miss so much.

The Cursed King. OMG I thought Kasia and Brand were my favorites, then Meira and Samael, and last Skylar and Ladon but wow I absolutely love Airk and Angelika, I love them both together. They are my favorite couple now. Everything worked out at the end, hopefully we will read again about them in a novella when they have babies??? Yes, please!!! Hint hint to Abigail. Love the story and I’m sad it ended 💖

A Wonderful Ending…. As always, Abigail delivers. It is a great end to a wonderful story spanning so many books.

Perfection. I have spent the past week or so reading all of the books in this collection - starting with the enforcers and then on to the kings. Everytime I read one book I was in love. I was in love with the story, the characters, everything! Each time I started a new book in the series I thought there is no chance this book will be as good as the last one because I just fell in love with the main characters every time but honestly each new book I read, I fell in love with the new main characters just as much as the last if not more! I truly could not pick a favourite out of any of them as they are all so beautifully written with so much detail given to each character - even those who are not the main characters in that particular book. This detail also spread in to the world of the dragons which in turn meant as I was reading it was like watching a film as I could just imagine it all in my head and I honestly hated finishing each book as I didn’t want it to end! This final book summed up everything beautifully but I still can’t help but hope and wish there will be more in the series! Perhaps allowing other big characters like Hall, Kanta, Rivin and Keighan to find their mates. More stories around Hershel and his band of ‘misfits’. Just anything to keep this fantasy going as it was truly beautiful! Thank you so much to the author and her team for creating this wonderful story! (I only wish the story was fact and not fiction!!!)

What a great way to end a series. The last book in this wonderful series. I’m happy I’ve read it, but I’m sad that this amazing journey is over! You could read this story without reading the previous books, but there is so much going on throughout the series, it would definitely give you a better grasp on what’s going on. In the last book we get a snippet of how things will go with Arik and Angelika, and it’s going to be a bumpy ride!! Angelika is tired of being useless! Hidden away from everyone, but especially the high king (he wants the last Phoenix to retain his throne) she needs to feel useful. She wants to help bring down the dragon that killed her parents and enslaved the man she’s falling in love with…. Being free after being held captive by the High King Py for centuries should have been a joyous time for Arik, to see the blue sky without bars should have made him smile. But a feral dragon lived inside him (this was caused by the centuries of incarceration) they battle on a daily basis, he can’t let him out as Arik is positive the dragon would kill without distinguishing friend from foe! Forming an alliance with Arik makes perfect sense to Angelika, they could persuade the White Dragon Clan to defect to their side and abandon the High King. Py always seems to have the upper hand in battles, is it because of numbers (white, red and green dragons follow him) so they need to even up the score. But convincing the stubborn white dragon of that fact is proving difficult for Angelika! With Arik it was one step forward, six steps back!! We all know he wants her, she’s made it clear she wants him. So let’s get it going Arik!! I absolutely loved this one, we have danger, intrigue, twists and battles. We have a stubborn white dragon afraid to get close to the only woman that has held his and his dragon’s interest. And we have the youngest of the four Phoenix sisters trying to find her place in this dangerous world! And we have so much passion and romance between the two main characters that it almost steamed my glasses up🤓 Drawing in the sisters and their mates, we even get to catch up with a powerful wizard and his mate (book) The author drew up all the loose ends and left nothing dangling. All avenues were explored and all allies were included. So can Angelika and Arik convince the white dragons to rebel against Py? Can they really defeat him with a defective dragon and a useless Phoenix? And the ending…. It just had to be that way 💜🐉💜

Great finale to the series. I really enjoyed the other books and this was a fitting end. Thoroughly enjoyed the main characters dynamic and growth, the throwback to other smaller characters was also great
