When she realizes on the first day that he’s her true mate, she knows she’s going to struggle to resist the man who is now her boss. Because once he discovers the truth, she can’t take the chance he’ll hurt her too.

Bruce Thompson isn’t sure why Emily’s so jumpy and what it is she’s hiding from him. What he does know is that his bear wants to protect the fragile woman who doesn’t want to like him, even though he’s sure she comes with a whole lot of trouble. He’s waited a long time to find his true mate and he’s not about to give up on her. When her secret is finally revealed he refuses to let her run again, and he has to find a way to show Emily he’s someone she can trust so she can let him into her heart.
