Thus begins Gisela’s perilous journey of exile and survival, made possible only by the kindness and courage of a series of strangers she meets along the way, including one man who will change the course of her life.

Phenomenal Book. What a beautiful book, the horrors of WWII depicted within these pages, the struggles of so many who fought or were horrifyingly arrested and treated… the aftermath of those who survived and had to rebuild their lives, their hope, their faith, and their dreams. Such a compelling story and one where this author does show where God was walking with each of these characters through all of it. Highly recommend this book and this author!
