Star Corps. Very good novel. Not quite adult in my opinion, because of lack of depth in characterizations.

One of the Best in hard military sci-fi series ever. The author a former Navy corpsman himself combines a thorough knowledge of the Marines, both past and present with a excellent grasp of physics to create a wonderful series of books. His physics and archeology are sound and he takes the time to explain his concepts as they apply to future space travel. All the while running through all three trilogies is a fascinating back story brought to it's final conclusion in the final book of the series.
