To Wed A Wicked Earl is Wicked Fun. This novel is a great read. It's the first eBook as well as the first Olivia Parker novel I've read. The title caught my eye and when I read the description it sounded really good so I bought it. It was worth the $6.99 plus tax I paid for it. (Read the product description to find out more) My thoughts: The story started out bit slow and the hero's attitude in the first chapter was a bit confusing, but once Charlotte and the Earl of Rothbury's, or Rothbury as he is called throughout the book, "friendship" got going it was a delightful read. I actually forgot he was an earl as the story wasn't so much about his (or her) status. It was full of humor, heated stares, a couple of instances of failing to tell the whole truth, and of course a bunch of wicked thoughts. I liked how Parker had the hero be both a take charge seducer and a lovesick gentleman. The heroine was smart with the perfect amount of sarcasm, cheekiness, and a hint of ditziness blended together. One of my favorite scenes is where Charlotte tells Rothington that she told her mother he was just like Uncle Herbert (you'll have to read to find out why) and that's why her mother changed her attitude towards him. The following scene with the dinner rolls was fun too. The ending was nice and wasn't rushed like some historical romances I've read. The last line of the epilogue was just great. I laughed out loud even though I had had an inkling of suspicion about the revelation towards the end of the book anyway.

Quick Read Because of Massive Holes. There is an obscene about of plot holes in the beginning that jerk you around harder than a used car. We go from a girl who has loved a man for years, whose best friend loves her yet plays the rake and has affairs despite this unrelenting love. Magically flash forward three months-yes three months- and a girl he has hardly talked to climbs through the bedroom window declaring they are the closest of friends??! Such a confusing tale and not a lot of romance in between.....

My First and Best Book I’ll Ever Love!!. This was my first ever Romance book that I had read back in middle school and I fell in love with the characters! I would imagine myself as Charlotte and dream of my own Rothbury pining after me. Whenever I’m feeling down I reread this book and feel beautiful again.
