One of the best. This is a riveting, excellent, and enthralling book that I could not put down. I absolutely loved this book!

The thirteenth tale. Definite five star! Told by a master storyteller who draws the reader in to the story within the story. Full of rich characters, twists which.are unexpected and truisms of life. Not to be missed.

Read in Two Days!. My mom recommended this book to me so I d/l'ed it and it had me from the first chapter. It starts out as a lonely, sad tale that keeps you reading (because it can only get better, right?) but as you go, it turns into a darker story within the story that shifts between main characters. The author is so descriptive that if it ever becomes a movie, I'm not sure I'd agree with it because I have in my head what everything is supposed to look like! An excellent and captivating read!

Outstanding. I'm an avid reader, but this is the first book in years that has so entranced me, the rest of the world has fallen away for it. One of my most favorites. Everything else had to wait while I read this. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite books... Read this book whilst I was pregnant with my twin boys. It makes me wonder abt the whole twins phenomena. I love this book, couldn't put it down or stop thinking about it. Sadly, I'm still waiting for Setterfield's next work..

The thirteenth tale. You want to keep moving along with this book as they are twists and turns. Well written, dark, and interesting if you like an intriguing English mystery. I was sometimes confused as to who was telling the story but you get it within a couple paragraphs. Give it a go...not bad!

A mystery till the end. I read this for book club and it was interesting that everyone interpreted the ending differently. Without giving it away, the book will keep your interest until the very end. I love books that make you ponder after you've read the book. This is definitely one of those books. I would highly recommend this book.

The Thirteenth Tale. I have not devoured a story like this in a very long time. One of those books where you become very acquainted with the characters and miss them terribly when the story ends.

Mesmerizing. The book pulls a reader in with enough twists to not be predictable. The characters come alive with the authors descriptive prose.

This is NOT a cheaply written novel. Beautiful!. Setterfield's tale mirrors the writing style of the Brontë sisters, but offers a beautifully written, unique plot. This is a must read. I thought looking for a recently written novel with such exquisite prose was next to impossible. Without a doubt, this is my favorite novel written in the last decade.
