According to historian Will Durant, Cyrus the Great's military enemies knew that he was lenient, and they did not fight him with that desperate courage which men show when their only choice is "to kill or die." As a result the Iranians regarded him as "The Father," the Babylonians as "The Liberator," the Greeks as the "Law-Giver," and the Jews as the "Anointed of the Lord."

Couldn't put it down.. A great all around read with well described military strategies and inspiring leadership key points.
One of The greatest book I've read. A book & story everyone should read about of one the greatest leaders of all time. Leadership, humanity, business, ethics, politics ...it is like a handbook treating all.
Xenophon's Cyrus the Great. Although, this book was written many, many years ago. It is still relevant today. A must read for all leaders within any organization. I challenge all military leaders to read and abide by this book. God's word will always be first and foremost in my life. This book will be second only to the Bible during the remainder of my life.
