Super Wellington written. Very factual (not boring at all)! Tells a great story and the author uses a lot of metaphors and similes. Very good book!!!

A amazing read!. I had to read this book for school for extra credit. I loved this book for the great telling of the story that made me feel like I was there. The story helped me to understand on a emotional level more of the feeling of the revolution. The cultural revolution was as knew bad but seeing and hearing it from the point of view of someone who was there connected feelings and ideas to the revolution! Over all a great book and deserves all five stars!

Straight Trash. This book is so boring it makes me cry. That is a coincidence because that is what Ji li does the whole book. All the book is is a little girl being sad. This book is worse than the Warriors blowing a 3-1 lead. This book really pulled a Charlie Gordon, and should get cremated by Sam McGee.

Red scarf girl. I PERSONALLY did not like this book. Maybe just cause I had to read it for school but I didn't like but I did hear a lot of great reviews on this book srry though( if u don't like learning about china for example u will not like this book ;())

One of the best. This is a book about a young girl who never gives up, even when the odds are stacked against her. She struggles through her life like so many others, brainwashed into believing class status was all that mattered, but the exact opposite was true.

meh. too long. is to depressing. is you like to read books about dictators, people put in jail for no reason, poeple comiding sueiside, poeple beating each other to death for no good reason, exc. perfect book for you. if you dont want to learn about these things… not book for you. for me, not good book. gsve me afew nightmeres
