Life Changing. As a college graduate with a marketing degree, a small business franchise owner, a black man and a hip hop enthusiast, this book was so insightful. It's crazy to read about your experiences on paper with respect to tanning. I can vividly remember how Run DMC & LL changed my life. If you are 35-45, this book will feel like a personal memoir.

Tanning of America. I met Steve Stoute when we both were novice in the music industry. I worked at LaFace Records and our paths crossed many times. Meeting him at the beginning of his career, sharing parallel career paths, being aware of his career evolution, and now reading Tanning of America, is a testament to his curiosity and dedication to learning. This book is a great chronicle of the business impact of Hip Hop and it's cultural significance. I love that Steve has given the world a book on the power of marketing and the significance of "tanning" from the perspective of someone within the culture.
