Women in Islam. Good book but not too informative. Should include more details.

Ridiculous. This is a ridiculous attempt to whitewash the Muslim culture's disrespect and oppression of women. "Both women and men go to heaven. See? Islam treats women and men as equals." LOL!

And the rest of the debate maestro?. Dreadful. Free and they charged too much. Questions are barely answered much less discussed with any nuance or respect for the reader. Eight lousy pages and the whole question of the position of women is considered as fully addressed and curses on ye who think there might have been a little more to say. Take modesty. Why is the debate framed as having two and only two options for a woman to dress. A burka or totally naked. That is it. Unless your skirt is at your feet it may as well be around your ears. Well for those of us who dress a little more like a jc Penney catalog, we resent the dumbing down. Is a tea length dress modest enough? A hat on the head is enough? No brain cells were harmed in the writing of this book. No talking about disparities in education, work, access to. Health care or heaven forbid a good long talk about how the author would have done better to help his wife do the dishes

Not enough effort. I feel that the author haven't really done his/her homework thoroughly and lack of reference to hadith or the holy Quran. He/she should elaborate more instead of leaving readers lost and hanging if you like. ~Zainol from Brunei~

Ok!. To the point! An nothing more.

Very basic but informative. The book is very short, it's a start to addressing some of the misnomers held about women in Islam. I recommend it for teenagers. Or someone who is just looking for a light coating of explanation, and not something deep. I wish it were longer though.

In enlightening. The author states this book in brief bullet points as if he is brainstorming for an actual book he might write. The points and arguments made are very cliche and so much like every other Muslim man's explanation for sexism in Islam. Now I am a Muslim woman who is attempting to wrap my head around how Islam has influenced some cultures into gender apartheid, and I found myself unenlightened by this author's testimony. This does not reveal to me the reason behind the mistreatment of Muslim woman everywhere. I had hoped for an explanation with analytical reasoning and assessment of all situations from every angle, but I received a one sided persuasive bullet list. It was unskilled to put it simply.

Very educating. Very nice on clearing some of the misconception about Muslim women.

Nice book. ...but short explanations are not clear to minds.there should be more questions and answers.

Excuses. Women are treated differently! A woman's testimony in court is only worth HALF of a mans testimony. 12 yr olds don't have a choice in refusing to marry an old bald guy!! C'mon at least tell the truth. It is despicable how Muslims only show the parts of the koran with the cute words. What about the book that talks about cutting off hands and feet and crucifying you like that...pffft

Woman in Islam. This book I think personally that it should be longer. I think this because I had questions still, for example what would happens in a wedding?, or with baby's?

Hmm. The answers were too brief

Not explained. We don't have to visualize a woman expossing her body, she should be given the freedom to wear whatever they'd want to wear or feel comfortable in, like men in islam. Thats still discriminative. In some islamic culture, women are not allowed in Meccah. The question arises there too.

Short. It’s a great short book but should of been longer

Um. What is this B S idk it's not in lightening at all, the answer about wearing a hijab is opinion not fact...idk. And duh both men and women have the same chance to get into heaven, that doesn't mean they are equal. Both sexes are on earth with the same task to follow their religion.

OK book. It does solve some problems, and I'll ask my mom, who detests the hijab to read it. However, I think this book needs more reference from Quran and Hadith.

Great book!. Author gives a crash course about equality as defined in secular society versus similarity of the male and female gender. The book challenges us to look beyond media portrayals of women and Islam and to actually derive your own conclusions.

Women in Islam. It's a good straight to the point book but to be honest it could have been a little longer, as its only 6 pages long and just briefly touches on some topics, I was expecting a bit more information. But definitely good to the point answers to the questions asked.

unbelievably short. yes, this book did remote some of my misunderstanding of islam, but why this book has only 6 pages? and so few questions…was going to explore more about islam..

Moderate but still massively patronising. More honest than most Muslim books and teaching. Still, it assumes a women cannot think for herself and needs guidance like a child. I admit, it seems that the author honestly believes that moben cannot honk and decide for themselves.

Only 4 dumb questions???. A book with only 4 simple questions where everybody know the answer...I thought there would be more to read...

Good. Good but short. Needs further explanations for some. For example,comparing woman in revealing dress against modest with hijab. It will r better if u can explain modest and modest with hijab. What's the difference and where in the Quran it states to wear hijab. Then it will be clearer.
