Great dictionary. This dictionary rocks now me and my friend can teach each other Hawaiian!!

Riddled with transcription errors. The content of this book is wonderful and the illustrations are charming, however in the course of translating it into this format, typographical errors have been introduced that prevent me from being confident in any translation resulting from this book. There are many instances of ʻokina being replaced by ō, and lowercase L being replaced by capital I. And that’s just what I’ve noticed after owning the book for less than 24 hours. Apple, please fix this. Examples: 1) “Iāua (they 2)” in the Pronoun Chart should be “lāua (they 2)”. 2) In the entry for “pono”, this sample sentence contains not one but two instances of the ʻokina (ʻ) being replaced by ō: “[ōO ke keiki Kaiapuni Hawaiōi, he haumāna e a‘o pono ōia. A child of the Hawaiian Immersion program should be a student who is well taught.]” (This particular substitution doesn’t start appearing until the entries for the letter P, as if someone who was proofreading the book only got so far ...)
