The rabbi’s letter said it all. His response summed up the danger in the Jewish community with one line that read, “We are not equipped for this.” As in we are not prepared for this. Not prepared. Not equipped. Not prepared? Chaim Azriel Weizmann was born in 1874. He warned Jews about the Nazis. I first entered Dachau in 1993. Dachau Concentration Camp opened in 1933. Dachau was the first, a blue print for the death camps to come. How can the Jewish community not be prepared? How can the excuse, “We are not equipped” enter the mind of the rabbi writing me? As I write this sentence, the day is Friday, June 3, 2011. The stock market is falling around the world at a decline of one percent in a single day, because the jobs report showed hiring down. Jewish leaders warn of antisemitism growing around the global community. How can you not be prepared for the past?

Antisemitic songs are sung with logos in the shape of swastikas. Jewish actors are standing by the bands expression of creativity. They are Jewish, but they are foolish enough to think that hate crimes against Jews are a thing of the past. Their luxury lives have allowed them to forget the holocaust. Shia LaBeouf is a role model. In Hollywood, he has made films for franchises: Indiana Jones, Transformers, and Wall Street. Recently Marilyn Manson created a logo shaped like a swastika. Manson was dropped from his label Interscope. Many say it was because of a song called Pretty as a Swastika. The Interscope label warned Marilyn Manson. David Geffen owns Interscope Geffen via Geffen Records. David Geffen's parents were Jewish immigrants. The news is reporting a rise in antisemitism throughout America. The unemployed are frustrated by hate. Bands are singing angry songs with logos in the shape of swastikas. Jewish actors are standing by Nazi antisemitic bands expression of creativity. Marilyn Manson created a logo shaped like a swastika. Manson was dropped from his label Interscope. Many say it was because of a song called Pretty as a Swastika. The Interscope label warned him.
