Falsifying history. It’s a shame someone who wants to write a book about such a great character as Cyrus doesn’t bother himself to Analyse his resources Let me correct him: he mentioned that Persians didn’t write much about their history and therefore he refers to Greek historian in this book: Totally False, in fact Persians had the most honest historians who would record events in details, and in several languages. The true reason why there is no writing about the Persian emperors is that when Arabs invaded Persia they burned all the history books and all the libraries on purpose, so that the Persians would lose their history and Identity forever. That’s what happened. Greek were Persians arch rivals at that time, therefore Greek sources are most likely affected by their prejudice against Persian Emperors. I was disappointed from the beginning of the book

A Problem.... Hello there! The problems I noticed was in the last chapter of the book (the death of the Cyrus). First of all, Herodotus is not a reliable source for writing history books, because he has already said that the stories he has written was told to him. I mean, he didn’t fact-check the stories. (last chapter was based and written on Herodotus’ book) The second problem is that there are many theories about the great Cyrus’ death. Like Xenophon’s theory which says, “Cyrus died naturally.” The reason why I’m rejecting Herodotus’ theory is that if Cyrus died on the north of the country and near Araxes (Aras) river, why is his body in Pasargadae located in Fars, Iran? And also Cyrus had a great military and for the war with queen Tomyris he used about 10,000 soldiers (in his military when a soldier was injured or dead, someone was replaced quickly). So, how could he have lost the war? Thanks for reading my review.
