Stick to it, and it'll be wonderful.!.. It is a little quiet some parts but if you just stick to it it comes together wonderfully. Other than the fact that it had a few lulls in it I absolutely loved it.

Cloudy Jewel is a Jewel. Majority of my life my favorite Grace Lvingston Hill book was The Enchanted Barn. Now that I’ve read Cloudy Jewel, I have moved it into the #1 spot of my Grace Livingston Hill books. Unlike her other books who always have the hero or heroine in major distress, this one just showed the main characters lives as though it’s what they lived from the get go. There was no major drama causing one or the other to need major rescuing. There was a good round story line throughout the entire book. Cloudy Jewel, more than any other of Grace Livingston Hill’s books I’ve read was about life; true every day life. Not some outrageously ridiculous poor girl, turns to Christ gets rich at the end story line, like some of her others. Cloudy Jewel was about two orphans who turned to their Godly Aunt to lead them through their college hood years and allowed her to love them as her own and taught them the truths of God’s word without sounding prudish. You’ve gotta read the story for yourself to appreciate it.

Fun look into 1920s colleges. Really neat to read about college life in the 1920s. Would love to see a painting or even movie of how this house has furnished and decorated—love GLH descriptions of renovations. Ditto in “The Enchanted Barn.”
