And what a victory, at that.. "Batman: Dark Victory" is an fantastic sequel to "Batman: The Long Halloween" and a masterpiece on its own. Both this and previously mentioned work are essentials to any graphic novel library, let alone any fan of Batman. I'm quite happy to see these finally on here.

The conclusion to the long Halloween.. A city on edge. Hope lost by all and a new menace loose on Gotham city that has everyone scratching their heads trying to solve this new mystery. Here, everything left unanswered in the long Halloween gets resolved in a twisted tale full of drama, deceit and pain. With plenty of spilled blood and action! An excellent tale that had me hooked more so than the long Halloween. Felt for every character here and the pages come alive with every detail in the artwork. a lot of love when into this epic story and the city itself is always shining as the center for all the chaos that unfolds within. This story was just soo good that I didn’t want the year to end. There’s some questions still left lingering as to what or why but just as any good mystery, not every answer will be given. Some warning however as this story is not for the faint of heart as there is a tremendous amount of violence and gore and not really suitable for children. But for all and any adults that love Dark comics with many of Batman’s rogues, then this is a definite read.

Good stuff. A fitting conclusion to "The long Halloween". I'm happy with the story telling and the over all "Dark Victory" Batman gets to experience. As a fan it had all the twist and turns until the final chapter that I experienced and enjoyed from the "The long Halloween". So if you read that than its time to read this continuation!!

A masterful sequel!. Sometimes lightning truly does strike twice! For my money one of the ten best Batman stories ever written. Grade: A+
