Great books. I would love to see all three of these books into major motion pictures. They have been 3 of the best true crime books I have ever read

I couldn't put it down. After reading Hotel Kerobokan and loving it, it was only logical to read Snowing in Bali. Every page was full of detail and action. I read this in three days during every free chance I had. Getting this kind of insight from people in the drug business is extremely rare. It's incredible the chances people will take for money. If I believed Schapelle's defense "someone planted the drugs in my board" story I would read Kathryn's book "No More Tomorrows". But I don't believe Schapelle's defense and don't want to read about her lies.

Snowing in Bali. An excellent read an amazing story Kathryn Bonella puts together the story in a way that carries your attention to the end. I am not a massive reader of books but I love true stories and true criminology and I could not put this book down and finished it in 2 days. I have forced many to take the book and read it not one person I have given the book to is dissapointed . J Mclean

Must Read. I loved this book couldn’t put it down. It’s really weird because you know drug dealing is wrong but you like the characters in the book & without giving anything away I was glad some of them managed to turn their lives around & not go to jail. Well done Kathryn Bonella

Snowing in Bali. As a traveller with a passion for holidaying in Bali and an interest in it from secondary and tertiary Indonesian studies, Snowing in Bali presented itself as an interesting read. Kathryn Bonella’s latest book was a true insight into a side of Bali not seen by its tourists. It is a gripping account about the drug trade in Bali through first-hand accounts and interviews with some of the biggest dealers. I was fascinated to read about familiar locations, restaurants, airport security, various means of smuggling drugs and details of the underworld previously known only to those within it. I found it a compelling book and congratulate Kathryn on another well researched and written book.

Snowing in Bali. What a great book, couldn't put it down.

Gripping from start to finish. Im not a big reader but my gf recommended this and I loved it. I was completely mesmerised in the world of Bali's drug dealers. it drew me in and I didnt want to put it down - the writing style is so easy to read and really pulls you in. It shows that the drug world can be very glamorous but all of a sudden it is a nightmare. I was right there with the dealers, living the highest highs and lowest lows. An amazing amazing book. Highly recommend it.

Unstoppable reading from beginning to end.... I just couldn't put the book down once I started it. Truly fascinating read - taking you into deep into the forbidden territory of the underbelly world of Bali. The book is written so well, that you find yourself almost convinced that you too could do 'the job' ... You are part of that underworld cover to cover, given the chance to know the people behind the schemes, and in the know, as the globetrotting transfers take place. I want to read it again and again. Thank you for the journey.....loved every moment!

Addictive & Captivating. This is my very first iBook & WOW, what a way to start my library. This is a top quality read & is extremely difficult to put down. The author (Kathryn Bonella) has an incredible ability to connect with the reader & "Snowing In Bali" is extremely captivating. This is a book that grabs the reader's attention from the very 1st sentence & takes you on a journey of a world that one could never have imagined to exist. A world that is in stark contrast to the beautiful paradise in which it is set.

Great insight to an underworld. A compelling read. I really enjoyed reading this book and it's an eye opener to another world that most of us never get to see. The easy writing style pulled me right in and made me forget everything else like i was actually there with these dealers. I can see a movie coming out soon.

Snowing in Bali. This book does far more than tell a story. It takes you on a journey through alleys you never thought existed, and would never dare to enter! This is a must read for everyone, written sourced and edited to perfection!! Journalism at it's very best!!

Great read.. Much better than Bonella's previous books...well researched, she has done the hard yards here, spoken to convicted felons, and spent 18 months devoted to intensive research which has resulted in a factual account of the lives and trials of Bali's drug lords. The illusion of a pristine paradise and its thinly veiled seedy underbelly-a must read for any aussie traveler...!!!

Brilliant!. An intriguing and captivating read..I couldn't put this book down, having been a keen surfer in Bali for the last 15 years I found the story totally enthralling, to think all of that was going on amongst the masses...a brilliant read!

Couldn’t put it down.. I’m not much of a book person, it was probably a good 10+ years before I’d read a book I couldn’t put down. Snowing in Bali was my first of many great books written by Kathryn Bonella. SIB kept me at the edge of my seat throughout its wild journey. Such a great author you really feel like you’re sitting next to her while interviewing these guys! 5 stars :-)

Loved this book!. This is the third book I have ever read & the first time that I have felt compelled to review anything. Amazing, Captivating and all true which makes this so interesting. Having been to Bali & knowing those places they talk about & never knowing what was going on or how things were done makes it even more exciting to read & experience. As soon as I finishes, I went and bought Hotel Kerobokan & have per-ordered the upcoming Corby book "my Story" A great author, a great read, a great experience! Male' Aussie, 34

The seedy side of the Island of the Gods. After reading Kathryn Bonellas last book, I was unsure if this one was going to be as good. Once again I was not disappointed.I again found this one hard to put down!! A very honest and brutal look at the Drug underworld in a place most of us consider paradise. A truly rivetting and enlightening book. Definately on my favorite list. Thankyou once again!

fantastic loved it. I read this book after Bonella's earlier one Hotel Kerobokan/Hotel K. Loved both. Snowing in bali is hard to put down and I really didn't want it to finish. I've been raving about it to all my friends. it is a book that makes you forget everything else around you and go right into the world like a great movie does.

Couldn't put it down!. After reading Hotel K in only a few sittings I was desperate to get my hands on Snowing in Bali and it didn't disappoint! Bali expat for almost ten years and only knew superficially what goes on behind the scenes. So great. You will love this book. Brilliant.

What a great read!. WOW This book is a great book with shocking yet mesmerising insight into the dark and outrageous side of this beautiful place... I didn't want to put it down. Also read Kathryn’s other books Hotel K and Snowing in Bali. She is my favourite author for sure.

Dull. I read this for book club and found it repetitive and dull. It is not a book I would normally read but isn't that what book club is about. I felt like I was reading the interviews literally as they had been recorded or a whole bunch of notes just compiled into one book. I struggle with any compassion for people who smuggle drugs and though I strongly disagree with the death penalty these people are adults who know the consequences. I felt Kathryn may have been more personally attached and not glorified their actions but made it all seem ok even feeling sorry for them.

Couldn't put it down. A fascinating read. I found it very hard to out this book down. It was a compelling read about Bali's drug scene. The author successfully captured the main 'characters' so well that by the end I felt like I knew them. I have thought about this book many times since. Fascinating!

Good and Great. Amazing book and more amazing the content

Snowing in Bali. We loved this book! It certainly opened our eyes to the hidden underworld of Bali. We've been holidaying there for over 10 years and not once were we offered any Narcotics beside the fake drugs on the streets. We cannot fathom the fact that anyone would still import/export llegal substances through Bali/ Indonesia knowing the penalties to be faced if caught. It's a classic reminder of how fast money and the Playboy lifestyle can blind even the 'Most' intelligent of people.

A fascinating insight into the alluring Bali drug scene. I loved this book! Bonella's previous title, Hotel Kerobokan, was fascinating for the dark, seedy underworld of the jail it revealed. Snowing in Bali is just as mesmerising through its contrast of the drug underworld with the millionaire-playboy lifestyle. Dark yet flash & fun at the same time. The main star you follow is Rafael - the most charismatic drug dealer you're likely to come across, and his charm really comes through the page. I really like the guy and wish him all the best for the future. You cheer for him the whole way through and breathe a few heavy sighs of relief! It features many others from the Bali drug scene (dealers, horses, users and more) - some alluring, some horrible - all terrific to read about. The book has a wonderful mix of stories, some interesting fates tied together, and a great expose on a world so far removed from many of us.

Very hard to put down. After reading Hotel K I thought I'd never read a better book, then came "Snowing in Bali". WOW!! I could not put this book down, not to mention the time spent googling information and photos. As a very seasoned traveller to Bali i could really picture myself in most places talked about in the book. A very powerful book as are all of Kathryn's and definately a "must read". Do yourself a favour, buy this book today, you will not regret it.

Love this book & not much of a reader. Absolutely loved this book. Not much of a reader but it’s the perfect mix of drugs & surfing culture to keep you interested. Fascinating story and love how the author gets into the detail - makes you really think. Highly recommend.
