Excellent book!. This is the textbook used for the Coursera course, Programming for Everybody. It is an excellent beginner’s guide to Python AND programming concepts in general. It is written in a lucid, concise and precise manner, so it is accessible to an absolute beginner (such as myself). The author (professor) makes the books and his videos all available online. I loved the course and enjoyed the book.

Highly Recommended!. The multimedia content is especially useful. Massive kudos to the author for putting this out there and making it free. This really opens the door for many to learn a great language like python.
