Better then good. I've read a lot of books on Gettysburgh, but found this one to be well above the others, been to the battle field a few times and after reading this book I've come to understand it so much more.

Wish Guelzo would read his own audio books!. But otherwise, perfect !

Gettysburg. Content,information and details are excellent for the initial plus 400 pages. Inexcusable problem- duplicate and missing pages.

Excellent read. A very detailed yet thoroughly engrossing read that once you get into it, is hard to put down. Highly recommended...

Awesomely thorough. Guelso’s deep depiction of the Gettysburg battles, filled with precise revelations of failed leadership decision-making, coupled with man’s reluctance to go for the jugular sets the tone for a great, albeit lengthy, read of this American tragedy. But, the disruption of the war led to emancipation for all...and the cementing of our democratic ethos. A wonderful book.

Gettysburg, The Last Invasion, Allen Guelzo, PhD. It took days for me to read and reread many sections of this riveting history. I purchased several Gettysburg and other area maps to follow in great detail the travel and battles of the war. Hours have been enjoyed searching Wikipedia for more information about the officers, men and Gettysburg residents, Gettysburg President Janet Riggs and her college family must be very proud of their esteemed faculty member author Doctor Allen Guelzo.

Don't waste your money on this one.. History is a reflection of source and interpretation of source. This volume has very strange, even absurd, interpretation.
