Constitutional History of the Western World by Bill Etem Book Summary

A person will sound like a scammer if he says only his Church is God's True Church which leads people to Heaven and all other churches are false churches which drag people down to eternal perdition. Perhaps he is a scammer or perhaps he isn't.

The scriptures are clear there is only one True Church, only one Bride of Christ, not multiple Brides. Yet Christendom is filled with thousands upon thousands of separate churches / separate denominations. So, quite obviously, there is a great deal of insanity in Christendom.

Non-Christians say Christianity was founded on delusion. But if those of us who are Christians are correct, if Jesus is God, the Divine Son, then you can trust what God says in Matthew 16. 13-19: there is a True Church which leads people to Heaven.

Suppose we have a World Conference where one representative from each of the many thousands of Christian denominations is in attendance. The rep for the Roman Catholic Church is the first speaker. If he stands up for 2 seconds and simply says: "Rome leads people to Heaven," and then sits down, then, the other reps probably won't hurl any insults at him. But if he begins his speech by saying: "Rome and only Rome leads people to Heaven, because only the Roman Catholic Church is God's True Church, because all other churches are false churches which drag people down to eternal perdition", then the rep for the Roman Catholic Church will probably get lots of insults hurled at him by the other reps.

We have a Case 1 and a Case 2.

Case 1:

The Roman Catholic Church is God's True Church. Rome leads people to Heaven.

Case 2:

The Roman Catholic Church is a false church. Rome leads people to perdition.

So, if the rep for the Roman Catholic Church was to give a speech where he attempts to limit the anger of the other reps, if he says only The Roman Catholic Church, plus the Russian Orthodox Church, plus 9 Protestant denominations, which he specifies by name, if he says these 11 churches and only these 11 churches lead people to Heaven, and says all other churches are false churches which drag people down to eternal perdition, then thousands of reps will still hurl insults at him. The main point is he has taken a stupid risk. I mean, suppose he leads people to Heaven by saying the Roman Catholic Church is God's True Church, but if he then tries to please some people, if he promotes one or more false churches which lead people to perdition, then he is leading people to perdition, and so he is a heretic who has put himself on the road to perdition.

So, if Rome leads people to Heaven then promote only the Roman Catholic Church. Don't take a stupid risk by promoting other churches which might be false churches which drag people down to eternal perdition. Don't make yourself a heretic on the road to perdition.

And of course if the Roman Catholic Church is a false church, if Rome drags people down to eternal perdition, then leave the Roman Catholic Church and find the True Church.

And where is the True Church? I have written some books which deal with that question.

To answer that question you first have to explain to Christians why it is insanity to have thousands of unique churches / separate denominations when the scriptures are clear there is only one True Church.

And then, of course, there's the main issue. The True Church leads people to Heaven. False churches lead people to perdition. So, how do you find the True Church and how do you escape from every false church? You read this book.

2 Thess 2 deals with the Antichrist and strong delusion. If you are in a church which you are convinced will lead you to Heaven, when in fact this church of yours is a false church which drags people down to eternal perdition, then you are certainly suffering a strong delusion.
