In dieser Arbeit soll der Versuch einer Anwendung von Walzers Gerechtigkeitskonzeption auf das deutsche Bildungssystem unternommen werden. Hierzu sollen zunächst die theoretischen Grundlagen geklärt werden: die kommunitaristische Gerechtigkeitsphilosophie (in der Ausprägung Walzers) und der Begriff von Bildung und Erziehung. Später sollen die theoretischen Details von Walzers Bildungsvorstellung erläutert werden und auf die aktuelle Situation in der deutschen Bildungslandschaft bezogen werden. Hauptsächlich werden hier die Schulen, als Institutionen von Interesse sein. Die Grundschulen (als nach dem Kindergarten) primäre Bildungseinrichtungen sind die ersten Kontakte der Schüler mit den Schulen und stellen oftmals bereits in den ersten Jahren die Weichen für deren gesamte „akademische“ Laufbahn. Somit nehmen sie eine Basisfunktion im Bildungssystem ein (vgl. Lichtenstein-Rother & Röbe, 2005:19). Interessant sind, nach dieser Basisbildung, aber auch die weiterführenden und spezialisierenden Schulen und Universitäten.
