Great story. I absolutely loved this story! The characters, the plot and the flowing of the story made this book a great read! This is the first book in the new standalone-interconnected series by Evey Lyon and it starts with one unforgettable one nightstand between Hudson and much younger entrepreneur Piper and what was supposed to be a one time deal becomes so much more after Piper finds out that Hudson its not only her best friend's uncle but also a famous football coach. This age gap/ slightly forbidden romance is entertaining, steamy and with many swoon worthy moments. Hudson is definitely bookboyfriend material, his patience and understanding towards Piper's feelings and doubts is just so good because he knows what he wants and he wants is her, in his life, in his bed and in his future, something he never wanted before and he'll do anything to convince Piper that their love is worth the risk.

Love this d so much. I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review. This was a really fun story. It features an NFL coach, Hudson who is in his 40's who meets a woman named Piper who in her 20's and they have a fling. But when they meet again they decide that they want to get to know each other and thats when they also find out they both love the same person, April, his niece and her best friend. There is an age gap in this story but they both are mature and seem to be in the same place in life so honestly the age gap was not a big deal or even this taboo thing. What is a big issue is that they decide to keep the relationship on the down low for many reasons. One is that Piper does not want to be in the limelight and also because she is afraid, she will lose her best friend. Those are the really big issues this book deals with. I enjoyed this book a lot and that is because I really loved Piper. She is fun, she takes risks. and she brings a lot of fun to Hudson's life. Hudson is very lonely but also very busy. I liked the way he invites Piper into his life and how they explored their relationship and getting to know each other.

I loved their POV’s, from their secret dating, and trying to figure out how they fit together. In the end, they took a chance on love, because it was worth the risk!
