Loved it. I can honestly say I'm impressed at first I was a little hesitant about read the book but I'm really glad I did the story line was interesting and original, reading it reminded me of Red Queen which I love. Definitely a book I would recommend to others.

Spell-binding!. From the moment I began reading, I was entranced. An enticing twist on the dystopian novel -a favorite genre of mine. Wow!

Great story and new plot!. I loved this book. It had a great, new story line. It didn’t rush and no cliffhanger. This book had great detail without becoming boring. Definitely 5 star worthy, which I hardly give!

Wow. This book is amazing! A must read!!!

Read like a teen's first attempt at a novel. I downloaded this book because all of the reviews were positive, but I was disappointed. The worldbuilding was restricted to, "the bad country hates women, the good country is based on the western English speaking world." The characters were all caricatures who had one trait, and everything held the same weight of importance to the heroine--her decision to stop wearing makeup was just as important as the assassins' attempt on her fiancé's life. The plot was boring and predictable. The ending tells me that it was supposed to be a romance, but I didn't really care if the hero and heroine were together by the end. If the book had undergone revisions before publication, it could have been worked into something readable, but it felt like a first draft.

Not your typical predictable paranormal. I love the fact that this book empowers women. It is a long journey but the message that our own choices form our happiness not others is clear to the reader. I like that the next generation will read this book and will not get a Cinderella ending.

Wow!. So I’ve been rereading Pride and Prejudice for the past few weeks without motivation to read anything else, but I got this book for free on a deal, decided to give it a shot, AND WOW IT WAS SO ENJOYABLE! I read it all in one evening. The main character isn’t one of those girls who constantly makes dumb decisions making you cringe, and the writing really allowed me as a reader to understand and relate to her naivety, her fears, and her determination. The characters are all so lovely. I didn’t see a lot of the events in the book coming, which is pretty unusual for me and was so refreshing. It’s not Pride and Prejudice or anything (really though, what is?), but was DEFINITELY worth the read!! I’d recommend this to anyone who likes reading about magic-infused worlds, realistically strong women, and unexpected kindness.

Absolutely exquisite!. This is a whole new take on women's right. I love how the story focuses mostly on the hardships that women have to endure in this fictional country of Chardonia, not far off from the hardships women have had to endure throughout real history. The romance in this novel is not over powering, and it definitely does not take away from the story, but I do feel like I could've done with more. I wanted more than just a couple of kisses to happen between Zade and Serene, but looking back at the story I see how it could not have made sense for Serene to just put her feelings out there after years of not having a real identity. Overall, it was great, I cannot believe this novel was free on iBooks, you are amazing Janeal Falor! Looking forward to more. Xoxo, Lulu

Very good read. I loved this book. I stayed up a few nights until the wee hours because I couldn’t put it down. Think of Hunger Games, Delirium, and Harry Potter all rolled into one book. I am a 26 year old woman, so this book isn’t just for young adults. I highly recommend this book!

Wonderful! Captivating!. This is a great storage written incredibly well... I was totally caught up in it, felt drawn in to the life of it... great character development... I went with the emotional roller coaster right along side of them... this is a story I will reread again.
