Talulah’s Dessert Diner. Talulah came to Coyote Canyon to take care of her Aunt Phoebe’s funeral. In town she had been known as the runaway bride. She had no showed at her wedding to Charlie, her high school sweetheart. She left him standing at the alter ready to say his vows. She had been just 18 years old. Then, she did the same thing two more times. She had not been back to her hometown for 14 years. Talulah was trying to get her aunt’s house ready to be sold. She was packing up personal items, so her mom could go through the boxes. She also was trying to figure out what items of furniture to keep and what to sell. She has a successful dessert diner in Seattle. She was planning to go back to Seattle when she had finished sorting out her aunt’s things. Then, she became reacquainted with Brant. He had been her ex-fiancé’s best man at the wedding she had decided not to show up to. The relationship between Talulah and Brant makes the book really fun.

Can’t wait for the next book. Brenda has done it again. I can’t wait for the next book. I’m so happy this is a series. Brings back memories of Whiskey Creek and Silver Springs. Talulah comes home after 14 years when her aunt dies and she’s left to take care of her estate. Very few people are glad to see her again including her ex-fiancée that she left at the altar and his best friend. Of course the first person she sees is the ex’s bf. He’s holding a grudge and lets her know. However, she soon sees his dislike was actually hiding his true feelings. Add to the mix Talulah’s business partner who she’s just started dating and you’ve got an entertaining read that I didn’t want to put down.

Love the start of a new series. This is the first book in a new series by Brenda Novak and a light cute story it is. Talulah has come back to her hometown to clean out her great Aunts house after her death, and deal with the funeral for her. But, Talulah left town 14 years ago after leaving her bridegroom, Charlie, at the altar and although his family should have gotten over it, there are still bad feelings with many people in the small town. In fact, Talulah has left 2 other grooms at the altar too. She runs into Brant who is Charlie’s best friend and sparks fly. Talulah has some major issues though, that complicate the relationship that she and Brant have. She lives in Seattle where she has a thriving bake shop with a male partner who want more from that relationship than she wants to give. Although there are many issues within this story, it was a fairly light romance but in Brenda Novak’s capable hands, the story really flows. We see different sides of all the issues, and I was happy with the HEA. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

Fun read. Talulah has quite a history as a runaway bride. 😂. She is a successful owner of a Dessert Diner in Seattle. But, she is the only family member who can go to her great aunt’s funeral and organize her things. So, Talulah goes back to Coyote Canyon where she ran away from Charlie on their wedding day. But, once there things definitely liven up. Into the picture comes Brant and with him lots of mixed feelings and complications. A fun read that will keep you laughing and reading.
