Este libro formula una propuesta de metodología de inclusión del iPad en entornos educativos, a partir del análisis de fórmulas de trabajo que van desde actividades singulares a análisis del desarrollo competencial y teoría de las inteligencias múltiples, Trabajo por Proyectos, Challenged Based Learning, Personal Learning Environment y ApProject.
A partir de este análisis (y tras una reflexión sobre el impacto de los iPad en las instituciones educativas), el siguiente capítulo se dedica a la formación instrumental que el profesor necesita respecto al iPad: desde configuración básica del iPad a aplicaciones de tratamiento de información (Keynote, Numbers, generación de videotutoriales, aplicaciones de gestión de aula, etc.).
También hay un capítulo específico para aprender a producir libros multimedia para iPad mediante iBooks Author. El cuarto capítulo se dedica a herramientas para compartir información: servidores WebDav, apps de plataforma educativa, creación de cursos con iTunes U, aplicaciones para compartir materiales de aula (Showbie) y compartir preguntas y respuestas (Socrative), etc.
En definitiva, el libro proporciona tanto las claves metodológicas como instrumentales necesarias para afrontar un nuevo modelo de trabajo a partir de la inclusión del iPad en el aula.
