What. A. Book!!!. I absolutely LOVED this book!!! It’s action-packed, sexy, sweet, sad, funny, and so much more. I can not wait to read the next book. Gosh, I loved it so much that I’m dreaming about it. It’s a must read!!!

The Fae Chronicles. Okay, to be frank. What I can say, is I was so upset that Fighting Destiny ended the way it day! To the point i am buying book 2 tonight! I seriously wish this was an Actual t.v series’s. I feel a lot of people would absolutely love this! I don’t normally leave book reviews, but this one. Girl you got it in the bag! It’s juicy, drama, thrilling, danger. It’s an amazing book, I can’t wait to read the next. Will do another review soon. Keep up the AMAZING work!!! This series is ART 😇🥰

5 stars isn’t enough!!. The description of the characters and settings alone had me wrapped into the story but the storyline continued to draw me in. The spicy scenes were raw and sizzling with passion. At times there was almost too much to the storyline that I couldn’t digest fast enough to understand but it didn’t stop me from staying up all night reading. Must READ book!! The author is a storyteller like I’ve never seen before. Love this series already!

Fighting Destiny. This is the first Amelia Hutchins book I have ever read, and I could not have been more captivated by someone’s writing. She makes you feel every emotion conveyed in her characters and the worlds that she creates. It’s truly soul-gripping. This book hooked me and I quickly bought the rest of the series that tie into the Fae Chronicles.

Fantastic. I absolutely loved this book! It grabs you right from the first page and never disappoints the entire book. Can hardly wait to start book 2!

Fighting destiny. My first book by Amelia Hutchins was FOC and I absolutely fell in love with her writing!! I’m in her Facebook group and so many of the tribe talked about this series, so I decided to read it and let me tell I fell in love with the story, I purchased them all!! I highly recommend this whole series 💞

“What is Love” - Haddaway. First off, this book is a very spicy enemies to lovers... so if that’s your main criteria in an urban Fae romance this is your jam. Heroine - 5 Stars (Anti) Hero - 1 Star World Building - 4 Stars Spicy Scenes - 5 chili peppers, 1 Star BFFs - 3 Stars Now, I was prepared for rougher content. I’ve previously read Alpha’s Claim by Amelia Hutchins which also comes with heavy disclosures about the despicable things the anti-hero ends up doing to the heroine before discovering that he can’t let others have her, live without her, loves her (in that order). Still wasn’t a fan of this book and even though the anti-hero will likely become more endearing as the series continues I don’t plan to read more. Worst: What killed it for me is the anti-hero Ryder’s POV sections. He’s not a hero, so it was already hard to root for him, and overall his scant POV sections did more to draw me out of the story than provide needed exposition. Best: I was delighted at every random real-world song reference throughout the novel! Paused to play each one to feel the mood of the scene. Fun addition.

Hot. Hot hot hot, engaging, hot

One of the best books I’ve read!. This book is like stepping into completely new worlds with all kinds of interesting characters! I loved the mystery of it. No, the mystery isn’t fully solved by the end of the book, but I don’t even care. If there’s a sequel, I’ll buy it! There is a lot of deep dark situations, torture, murder, and assault, but the book didn’t make me feel “depressed” like some books do. It held my attention throughout and I was very impressed by the depth of all the characters and side characters. Very impressed with the imagination that it took to write this book!

How do people enjoy this.. This is a victim porn/rape fantasy. Consent is not a thing in this book. So if you’re into that, go right on ahead. I was masochistic enough to read half of this book before I couldn’t take it anymore. The main character is naive, frumpy, a pushover, and spouts cringey dialogue constantly. Despite all of this, we’re supposed to believe she’s this incredibly intelligent assassin/witch/thief. Also she’s not exactly breaking any boundaries in the diversity department. She’s a platinum blonde bimbo with blue eyes and, authors words, double D size breasts. Very cookie cutter. Minimal diversity in the side characters too. Her “love interest” (who I was convinced was the villain for the longest time) constantly violates her and she does nothing about it other than telling him she hates him and continuing to obey him without trying to fight back or find a way out of her situation. Grammatical errors are common, characters are very one note. If you’re into this type of story, that’s fine, but for some people who are sensitive to topics of rape and emotional abuse, this is not the book for you.

So awful...don’t do it!!!. It’s CSI: witches and fae... terrible! Weak and contrived storyline. It’s so bad and unoriginal, I had to force myself to keep reading hoping the story got better but I only managed to read a quarter of the book. Couldn’t stop my involuntary eye rolls from all the absurdities!

weird homophobia and transphobia. girl you need an editor and a deep look inside yourself for why you think it’s cute to joke about men wearing lipstick to murder people and make it seem like being possibly gay or femme is a weakness. not to mention the constant sexual assault and near rape by the lead male. pathetic

I have fallen in love with this series. I am one of those people always on the hunt for a new book or series to read. I read books like some people drink water always have. That being said I’ve read a lot of books in my lifetime, I have a room full of shelves with books. I also read books digitally and regularly look through Apple’s free books. Most of the time I come across books that seem interesting and when I go to read them lack original thought or still need to be fleshed out. This was not the case with this book. This is a diamond among rocks. Amelia is a brilliant author and she takes you on a wonderful journey into her world and introduces you to all these different characters and you end up falling in love with them and this world. Beautifully written and well done. I can’t wait for the final book in this series and look forward to completing this part of the journey with you. Thank you Amelia for sharing this with us. As a side note I enjoy the other side series that cross over into this one as well. Syn and Ryder will always be my favorite but the others are wonderful to get to know as well.

Meh. If I had an option for 3.5 I would've chosen 3.5. It was a good story and the next sounds intriguing but some of it just dragged.

Near Rape and Sexual Assault is Not Sexy. Ok, I tried really hard to get into this book. However, the male lead is seen in sexual assault and near rape experiences repeatedly with the female lead and seems to enjoy them. This made it incredibly hard to read, cringey, and caused me to hate the main characters. I feel like no mentally sound adult should be encouraged to find this behavior appropriate outside of a short lived bedroom fantasy. Also, the writing style this author has is rather choppy and hard to follow. The one positive note I have is that the world this author is trying to create has the potential to be awesome (which is why I tried so hard to like this).

Awesome in theory. Honestly this plot was interesting, but the character interactions lended themselves towards legit harassment and non-consensual interactions to the extent that it took me out of the story. Yeah it’s an adult book so I was expecting adult content, and there was psychic understanding of desire, but overall way too non-con for me to enjoy while not drunk. It was good but I’ve read better fics on AO3

Loved this one!!. This is definitely one of the best books I’ve read on here. It’s very well written and had me totally hooked all day. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.

First book I read in YEARS.. Obsessed.

Well.... I honestly wonder if I missed something. 🤷‍♀️ I do not believe I read the same book as those giving it five stars—one reviewer calling it a masterpiece. I disagree but respect their opinion. I will be honest and say I did not finish this book. I tried, but couldn’t force my way through it. I would not recommend it. That being said, there is potential if the storyline is adjusted slightly. Unfortunately, a complete overhaul of the female lead is necessary. The author “told” us the protagonist was intelligent—a skilled assassin and thief—but that was not “shown” by her words, actions, or deeds. The character’s dialogue is quite awful in many places. And the “relationship” with the so-called love interest is toxic at best. He violates her, plain and simple, and we are to believe it's love? Nope, sorry, not even close. Any intelligent woman (or Fae, in this case) would have run and never looked back. Saying “I hate you” after he violates her is how an immature child reacts. A strong female lead —a trained assassin—would've killed him during his first attempt and stepped over his twitching corpse, careful to avoid getting blood on her stilettos, while deciding what to eat for dinner. I do believe if you make some revisions this could be a solid book. I wish you luck on the journey to find your voice as an author. 🙂

Must Read!. It had me hooked in from the beginning! Great read from anyone wanting plot and intense sexual tension.

Couldn’t stop reading. Such a great and interesting storyline!

It’s okay. I felt like the whole book was super rushed. Everything was too easy and the main character never learned from her mistakes. Ever. It was a bit frustrating to read, with some grammar issues in here and stuff I noticed while reading which was weird…but I still enjoyed some of it.

Not Woth My Time. When I found this book I was excited, it has really good reviews and came up at the number one book in fae romance. Don’t even bother, its an awful book! All its about it sex, the main character is suppouse to be good at what she does but all she does is whine, make humilating comments, and get pushed around. The book itself wasn’t wrtien all that well either. I stopped reading early in the book.

😭😭. This was so weird and dehumanizing. I was disgusted by the male lead. This book is genuinely difficult to get through and the parallels to her mother’s rape disallows the reader from disassociating and forces us to confront how awful it is. There’s a fine line between portraying a dominant anti-hero male lead and a sociopathic rapist.

Not a huge fan. I really wanted to like this series, but i just couldn’t. I loved the idea of the story, but it was missing so much. I did not find the writing to be that great, especially in the beginning. It did get a little better with each book, but i couldn’t make myself read past the 4th book. I only made it to the 4th book because, like i said, i liked the story itself and wanted to know what happened. The sex scenes are also very cheesy and i ended up skipping through the majority of them.

Must read!. I loved this book!

Perfect heroine?. Honestly, she really might be my favorite character ever. Everything else in the book and series has been fantastic too. Highly recommend.

Sun- Ryder. Wow, I could not put this book down. The characters were strong and brave giving the story backbone. Exciting and nail biting ending.............ok maybe not the end, but it sets you up perfectly for the next book. It does have some tear jerking spots. Great Book

Know before you go.... The sex scenes are hot, characters are hot. The plot build up and story telling are lacking. Scenes w/in the story would jump from one to the next without much build up or transition so I found myself having to go back and ask where they were or how they got to the next scene. The dialogue between the characters wasn’t always outlined well so I couldn’t always tell who was saying what? The next couple of books that I’ve read so far improve on that score and the concept is really fascinating! But if you’re reading this for a strong female lead with complex character development....this ain’t that kinda story, lol. And that doesn’t improve w/ the next novels. It’s steamy and that’s what it delivers on.

Really good. This was like a mix between crescent city and a court of thorns and roses. A Mystery with a really hot sexy fae male. Highly recommend 👍🏼

The whole series is AMAZING!!. Okay so this book is great. I read this in October and never ended up buying the next book. But now, I’ve practically read the whole series. YOU HAVE TO KEEP GOING!! DON’T STOP after this one! It just gets better and better. BUT there are filler stories in between this book series. A rollercoaster. Great read, a bit drawn out in some parts, but it had some pretty good twists to what I thought would be a mundane plot.

Amazing. Warning! This book is hot sexy and has an amazing story line. Bare with me people, this author jumps right into the steam in the beginning, but do not be alarmed, it is not just straight sex, even if the scenes are legit fire, the content is so good! The story has you hanging on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens next! Amelia instantly became an addiction after this book!

Fantastic. Absolutely loved the characters! Fantastic read! It took me a bit to really get into it since it’s not my usual read but dang was I glad I kept reading because holy heck was it worth it. Definitely left off with questions and have to read the next book. I loved the twists and turns and trying to figure out what was going on. Normally not my thing but this one definitely kept my attention until the end. Very nice sexual chemistry and scenes well written. Not overly done or sexed up like some but very well worn compared to many I have come across. I love syn’s sass! I can’t explain ryder. He just lures you in. Let’s just say this writer did a really great job with her writing these two and their chemistry. Not sure how else to put it. Loved it!

Amazing read. 5 stars Amazing read! This book was powerful, sexy and full of chemistry. The main characters were mysterious, dangerous and so full of angst. I absolutely loved the plot of this book. It was so well written and thought out. It has twists and turns and keep you guessing right till the end of the book. I will 100% be continuing with this series. I love stories with dominate alpha males and their hate to love stories.

Wow! Fast pace with lots of twists!. A paranormal mystery suspense romance and hotness off the charts. It’s a long book but it’s fast paced without any unnecessary chapters. Mainly in heroine POV (90%). Hero is a possessive alpha with a dirty mind. The mystery within the book is to die for, and the plot twists keeps you turning the page! Be ready for heartache! There’s a reason why it’s got such a high ranking with 100+ ratings!

Book 1 - loved!. This story is a little confusing in the beginning because you’re introduced to so many different elements, but stick with it because it does not disappoint as soon as you get whose who. It’s a very interesting dynamic, with humans, witches and the Fae. Learning Syn’s past was definitely upsetting and my heart went out for what she experienced at such a young age. This story really sets the tone for how strong Syn is with her past being what it is and the loss of her first love Adrian in more present times. No matter what comes her way, she always find a way to get back up and become stronger from it all. Ryder definitely comes off as an arrogant a** in this book. A lot of his backstory is unknown and his character, overall, is mysterious. There is definitely an immediate chemistry between Ryder and Syn, even though both of them despise one another and don’t want to admit it. As Syn and the witches work with Ryder and the Fae to try and solve the murders happening, you see how dedicated Syn is to helping people and how selfless she is when it comes to protecting others. There are several instances where she risks her life to save someone else.

Non stop read. I couldn’t keep this book down. It had a great story line; keeping me in suspense. The erotic side of it was a bit repetitive and cheesy. But all in all. I enjoyed the story.

Good book, loved Syn. A wonderful book however I came to dislike Ryder. The chapters from his view made me not want to read on even though I loved Syn and her friends. **Spoiler** When the hunt started I was hoping for something more intense, the way there was taunting etc. It ended and.. nothing had even happened. I thought there would be more of a fight or at least a run. Was a big let down.

A bad Fanfiction. This story read like a bad Fanfiction. There was nothing unique about the characters, the plot was hard to follow and under developed, and there was one line I found particularly disturbing “I officially wanted to scalp Alden, Indian style. I just needed a really cool doeskin skirt, and a very sharp knife to do so.” That archaic and racist language has no place here.

What. I had to stop reading when the term “monkey butts sake” was used.

One of my all time favourites. I have read this twice now, and will absolutely read again. I was hesitant at first, I had never really read an indie author before, but one night while laying with my kids, board of my games on my phone, I opened up a reading app and found this book. I was hooked within the first chapter. Amelia has created such an amazing world with the Fae Chronicles. I’m blown away every time I read a book from this world. The twist and turns are amazing. It’s hard to review ONLY this book because I’ve read the entire series, but if you like paranormal romance this is a must read in my opinion. I have since gobbled up everything Amelia has written, and man does she push books out fast! A very enjoyable me read.
