I miei Santi by Benedetto XVI Book Summary
“Vi auguro di diventare santi”. È questo l’invito che Benedetto XVI rivolge ai bambini (ma non solo) attraverso le pagine del libro “I miei santi”, un testo che contiene una raccolta di discorsi del Santo Padre sul tema della santità.
In particolare il Papa fa riferimento a tre figure a cui lui stesso si definisce “legato in modo speciale”: san Giuseppe, san Benedetto e sant’Agostino.
Attraverso la descrizione che fa della loro vita, Benedetto XVI mostra con chiarezza come la santità non sia una cosa per superuomini, ma una prospettiva che tutti possono desiderare, vero compimento della vita e unica possibilità di soddisfazione.
In un passaggio del libro infatti il Santo Padre afferma: “La cosa migliore di tutte per voi è di gran lunga il crescere in santità”.
Il testo, rivolto principalmente ai bambini, contiene un’introduzione del Card. Camillo Ruini ed è accompagnato da illustrazioni originali realizzate dal pittore Franco Vignazia.
