I like it? Or maybe not?. This series is pretty good, discovered it when I was 7 and I still read it. But I can’t help but notice some flaws. —When MacKenzie says something rude to Nikki, it’s seen as cruel, but when Nikki shoots back something mean, she seems heroic. Doran she ever regret the things she says to MacKenzie? —No LGBTQIA+ characters. I think it’s a little unfair seeing as there are so many characters in the series. We don’t know a lot about Marcy or Violet. Maybe we’ll find out one of them is bisexual or lesbian in a new book? —Nikki gets on my nerves. She’s not appreciative and she is so snobby toward her little sister Brianna. She’s 5! Cut her some slack. And the whole series starts off with Nikki calling her mom brain dead. —No morals. Nikki just acts all rude and gets what she wants. Her own tv show, a crush who likes her back, and OMG her friends are so awesome!! But especially she has talent. She’s a great artist and wins the art contest. She’s even crowned Sweetheart with her crush at the dance! But she’s never happy. But please don’t think I hate your books Miss Russell! MAKE MORE!!!! 💕💕🤩🤩👍👍✅✅. First off OMG I love this book!! I’ve read all of the books from the first to literally every single door diaries even like the ones OMG all about me like four diaries look like 2 1/2 wide and 3 1/2 I don’t know but I read all of them and I will like them. But my favorite Has to be the ones were Nikki and her band actually I’m not really sure yet they were the main feature going toward the bad boys the popstar one in this book those are my favorite she should definitely make more than involve all of them because it definitely is more entertaining for me because I just feel like it’s really fun to read the books in as a sugar pot now every book has flaws. One thing I can find is I wish they would’ve elaborated more on if McKenzie really did do something with the disks and what happened to the CDs I wish they would’ve elaborated more on that I did not if you haven’t read any books read them and read this one read like the latest one on just read these books!!!

AMAZING. I LOVELOVELOVE THE DORK DIARIES BOOKS!!! They are soooo amazing, and this one is one of my absolute favorites. I love the artwork and Nikki’s “AAAAAAARRRRGH!!!”moments. I also like the way she expresses herself through art and writing in her diary and all the drama (Brandon drama AND Mackenzie drama) makes the book more elaborate and excellent. I am sooo excited for the new book in this continuously growing series and I thank Rachael for this FABULOUS book!

Serious lack of diversity. Okay. I’m trying not to sound like a Karen, I know, you don’t care if I stop reading. But hear me out: -The art is dull. It was cute at first, but as the books went on, it got more stuff and lifeless -Zoey is the only character in the entire cast that isn’t white. Add more racial diversity -the characters are one dimensional. Nikki is the protagonist, therefore she can do no harm. Mackenzie is the antagonist, therefore she has no morals. When people bully, they don’t do it for the sake of bullying. They do it because they have emotional trauma, they were never taught better, or they have a hard time understanding empathy -I know this one will never happen, but I want LGBTQ+ characters. Have Violet briefly talk about how she used to be a boy. Have Chloe have a crush on Zoey. Have Marcus like Theo. Just think of Rick Riordan. He targets his books for kids, yet he adds many diverse characters (and he’s very successful). -the events are bland. Ever since the first five or so books, the plot of the books have been progressively getting more and more boring. -Nikki is a brat. She doesn’t appreciate people’s efforts (especially Brianna) to be kind when those efforts fail. She selectively feels empathy. She can only feel bad for people that she likes. -Brandon is the absolute most boring character ever. He’s the epitome of the sweet, two dimensional straight boy. Give him some flaws. On that note, give Nikki and the other main characters flaws

Dork diaries 7. So at first when I read this book I was super exited because all of the books in the series were great but then I finished the book and realized the book is better than I hoped there is no way the 8th can be better but it will be amazing. All I can say is that you should read it and😄😊👍👍. P.s. Lots more drama for Nikki and Mackenzie
