Outstanding. My new favorite book! And the only book I've been able to finish in the past year or two. Plus I finished it in only one day!

Spoiler alert. I guess I’ll start with the good. The book was fast paced, occasionally witty but not over done with one liners. That’s it I can’t think of anything else nice to say about this book. The characters are awful. First off any father that doesn’t kill the guy that rapes his daughter is pathetic. Your only excuse would be he was arrested and incarcerated before you could get your hands on him. The dad did make a valid point. Girls, if you get sloppy drunk and dress provocatively you’ve just put a target on yourself. Granted there is no excuse for rape but let’s face it this world is full of monsters. Then there’s the hero of the story? Ian, really? The guys pathetic. Openly bad mouthing rape victims is sick, sticking with your friends that do this is probably worse if you realize that it’s wrong. Then you have Grace. Like her strength to stick it out, but maintaining a crush on a guy that won’t take your side? Then the end of the book, I’m all for forgiveness, (not for the rapist) but the other characters, but probably not going to start hanging out with the guys that called me a slut after I got raped. I don’t know if people really act this way but I’ve never seen it.

Ummmm. It had a good story line and moved at a good pace but it was written kind of immaturely. How long it take Ian to realize the truth is painful. Everyone follows the zac guy even when he treats them like crap. All the men in the book treat the women like possessions. And yes I realize shaming happens and how someone dresses makes people say ‘she was asking for it’ but come on no matter what she wears they think that and it’s a load of crap. I’d say this is more a book I would recommend to a 14-16 year old. I don’t know how to describe it....every character made you want to look at them and ask them how dumb they actually are. And I mean come on she gets bulled and tortured and then forgives everyone like oh ya no big deal 🙄

READ THIS BOOK. This book is so amazing!!! If you don't read this book then you are missing out. READ THIS BOOK!!!!! ☺️☺️😈

😭. I started reading this book on Friday. It's Sunday & I have just finished it. This book is by far one of the BEST books i've ever read. It tells an amazing story & its very captivating. HIGHLY recommend this book!!

Speechless.... Wow. Where do I even begin? It's past 2am and I've just finished reading Some Boys after starting it yesterday. I heard about this book some months ago and preordered it because the story appealed to me from the beginning. I read a lot of books that shed light on the rape culture in our society, and this is by far the best book I have ever come across in that subgenre. In fact, because I am who I am and the way this was written with such valid arguments, it's my new favorite book. To be honest, there were many instances I read a few pages and went back to reread them just because I loved the content so much. I recommend this novel to anyone and everyone.These characters may be "fictional" but truly reflect real people with unflinchingly real thoughts...so real that it makes you want to castrate them (that's right, Ian, I'm talking about you). I laughed, I cried, I scowled, I fell in love. Thank you, Ms. Patty Blount, for writing such a devastatingly beautiful book. I know I'm going to rave to everyone because this is as perfect as a novel can get. There is so much more I could say, but I think I couldn't ever stop if I started.

Would recommend. So worth it. I loved this book soooooo much, it was recommended to me and I’m so glad I read it. It was really well written, I loved the characters and the entire time I was reading I felt so connected to the story. Would recommend, so worth it
