Rising Son by David Hughes Book Summary

If there were a book that contained all the elements that interest you, would you read it? Would it contain love, hate, murder, and compassion? Would it contain intrigue, warring nations, and espionage? How about good versus evil, everyone loves to hate a villain don’t they? Now, what if I told you that you probably have this book at home collecting dust, would that surprise you? 

According to a recent survey, up to eighty-eight percent of homes in the United States contain at least one Bible, and yet only twenty-six percent read their Bible on a regular basis. I believe this is because most people need help understanding its contents, and Hollywood movies that are filled with inaccuracies and lies only add to the confusion.  

Rising Son is a collection of novels covering the historical aspect of the Old Testament, which is designed to peak your interest about that book collecting dust on your shelf. Inside these pages are the stories of the people you know, without the Hollywood treatment because frankly, they are amazing without it. The people and culture of the day have been expanded, and I have supplied plausible answers to many of the tough questions that ultimately arise, while closely following God’s word.

I pray that these books will lead you to read your Bible, and when you come to a difficult passage, you will remember what I have written, and then you will dig deeper. Dig deeper because that is what God wants you to do. Every difficult passage was written for a reason. Believe me, the more you dig, the greater your understanding, and the greater your blessings.
