First chapterrrr!. Chapter one I bounced excitedly from paw to paw. •Apprentice ceremony! I’m going to be a REAL LIVE APPRENTICE!!!!• IvyKit was struggling against our mother’s tongue, “Mooommm! I can clean myself! I don’t want TreePaw seeing!” She muttered the last part quietly. NickelKit sat at the entrance of the den. “Mom! RushingStar just called everyone over!!! Hurry!!!” I sighed, “Don’t be impatient NickelKit! We are almost done!” I brushed up against my brother’s fur to soothe him. LittleDusk licked IvyKit one last time, “There. Done.” She said. IvyKit pushed pass me and NickelKit, who bounded after her. I turned around and nuzzled my mother, “I love you Mom.” LittleDusk smiled, “I love you too LilyHea-Kit.” I cocked my head, confused. “LilyHeart? Who’s that?” As I said those words, I felt a breeze brush around me, and a whispering voice that sounded like an older version of my mother. “I am LilyHeart, little one…” Then LittleDusk shook her fur, and nudged me up to my siblings. I felt scared. RushingStar made me an apprentice last. I barely heard his words, until I said that I would. Then he apprenticed me to SnowStorm, IvyPaw to RunningWater, and NickelPaw to DarkLight. “IvyPaw! NickelPaw! LilyPaw!” The clan cheered, but I could barely pay attention. SnowStorm stood next to me, and nudged me, “Go socialize with the other apprentices, we will train shortly after.” I smiled and tan towards the apprentice den. MoonPaw, LotusPaw, SquashPaw, PeachPaw, DeerPaw, FlipPaw, BirchPaw, RiverPaw, TreePaw, SpottedPaw, and FlamePaw’s nests were all there. And RosePaw and FernPaw were working with TreePaw to make another three nests. IvyPaw ran up to TreePaw, “Hello!” She said excitedly. TreePaw smiled, “Hi IvyPaw.” RosePaw looked between them with a hint of envy in her eyes. She pushed between them and greeted NickelPaw. I sat in the bed that was already made, thinking about what the breeze said into my ear. “LilyPaw? Are you okay?” FernPaw said as he looked at me. “Y-yeah I’m okay.” IvyPaw glared at me as TreePaw looked my way, concern filled his eyes. IvyPaw quickly brushed her tail under his chin, “Don’t worry about her, she just wants attention.” TreePaw pulled away from her and sat in his bed, next to mine. •No no no noooo! IvyPaw is going to be SOOOO mad!!• TreePaw placed his tail on my back. I felt myself quiver, LittleDusk had constantly reminded me that “TreePaw is a tom that’ll one day get himself into trouble” and that “he’s not a trustworthy tom, nor a suitable mate for you” But… how could someone so handsome be that bad?… NickelPaw snickered. “Oooh! Look at the lovey-dovey cats.” I turned away from TreePaw, who quickly moved his tail from my back. SnowStorm peered in, “LilyPaw? Are you ready to train?” I nodded eagerly and jumped up and leapt out from the apprentice den. I followed SnowStorm, but as we headed to the clearing where we would train, I heard a pitiful mewling from a small kit. “SnowStorm…do you hear that?” No response. “SnowStorm???” •Mouse-dung! I lost her…• I followed the sound, and was led to an overflowing river. And a small kit stuck on a branch that was caught in the current. •OH NO!• I jumped onto the branch, almost slipping, but caught myself. “Help me!” The kit said over the sound of the rushing river. I crept towards her, and grabbed her scruff. As I edged towards the end of the log, I heard a snap, followed by the creaking of the log. I tossed the kit to safety, as the current swept me away. My head struck a rock, and all faded, but before I passed out, I could swear I saw a starry form of a she-cat, urging me to swim.

This was so sad Bro that’s kinda crazy how Frecklewish just stood there watching MapleShades kit’s drowning and did nothing And how Apple’dusk literally has a whole other Mate that is have Kits and he has the audacity to say “It’s your fault our kits are dead” and “I want nothing to do with you” … And how REEDSHINE IS LITERALLY THE DEFINITION OF “PICK-ME” Ravenwing needs to stay in his own business that’s why he dead he practically ruined Maple’shades life with that “Now that I know the truth I can’t lie either” Also who does frecklewish think she is pinning down our queen and making her go half blind that’s why she can’t see no more but anyway good book great ending and now that she is in dark forest she can cause more pain with REEDSHINE

She Deserved way better. I finally understand her after reading this book. Apple dusk stinks. But, I don’t think going out and killing every cat who wronged you is the right way to go out. Other than that, love you Mapleshade!

I hate appledusk. I hate apple-dusk, that little stinker! He deserved to die because he blamed the death of maple-shades kits on her, even though she tried to save them, and also, he went with another cat even though he was with maple-shade! Im mad apple-dusk went to star-clan, but maple-shade went to the dark forest!

Awesome & heart wrenching book. You sure feel sympathy for Mapleshade in her story.. This is sure the most best, most darkest, nose heart wrenching stories. Mapleshade is one of my favorite villains with a troubled past & this sure brought the emotion & feeling of the story in the book. Great book & I do not regret buying it!👍🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This made me cry 😭. Spoiler alert! 🚨. So sad the way her mate turned on her and then her kits died! Saddest warriors book ever (and the only one that made me cry). Am I the only one that cried?

The Phantoms. Whispersong: Hi! Can I have Swiftspark, Oakfeather, and Clearpaw please? My submission for the adoptables contest! The sun was setting, masking a shadow inside of a shadow. A black she-cat, hidden in the shade, stalked her prey. The shadow seemed to move with her as she glided below tall buildings. Unbeknownst to her, another cat jumped from awning to awning, and yet another cat’s pawsteps whispered from the other side of the alley, behind her. She sped up right as the walking cat sped up, and the jumping cat soared through the sky. They all leaped at the same time, the black cat’s paws slapping against her prey- a smaller, ginger-brown-white dappled she-cat with black rings around her eyes, black paws, and a black tail-tip. As the black cat entered the sunlight, rolling around with the dappled she-cat in a play fight, her pelt shone. She had gray and white swirls winding their way along her fur, and half of her face was gray. Cleverness and playfulness sparkled in her icy grayish-blue eyes. “Mmf! Get off me, Haunt!” the smaller cat grunted. Haunt tapped a paw against her chest and extracted herself from the ball. The two other chasing cats, a white tom with white spots along his back and a chimaera black-and-white tom with orange and white streaks in his fur, caught up to them. “Ughhhh, Haunt won AGAIN. I thought my way would be quicker!” complained the white tom. “I’m just not as fast as I used to be. I’ll get you for sure next time,” assured the chimaera tom. “Haha, in your dreams.” Haunt teased. “Get used to it, Spirit.” “So, have anything for us, Nutmeg?” asked the white tom, his stomach gurgling. “Sorry, none today, Ghost,” replied the dappled she-cat. “We had salad today, and cubes of some kind that didn’t taste very good. And they didn’t leave the trash open. My new housefolk never have meat, anyway.” “I knoooow, Nutmeg. But I still really like their crunchy bread shells.” Ghost swiped his tongue around the edge of his jaws. “Delicious!” “We know you like tacos, Ghost. Don’t we all,” replied Spirit. “Although, the housefolk holiday is in a couple sunrises. My owners are getting me a little witch costume! I’m gonna go asking for treats!” “Heeeey! I want treats too!” exclaimed Ghost, jumping into the air and turning a full circle. “See! I’m much more amazing than any house cat could ever be in a costume. No offense, Nutmeg.” “None taken.” “Hey, if you wanna go so badly, we can! We’ll just go with Nutmeg and her Twolegs.” Haunt exclaimed. Spirit fixed her with a questioning look. “Sorry, housefolk. Old habits die hard.” “WAIT. HAUNT, YOU WERE IN A CLAN???” Nutmeg whisper-shrieked. “Yep. My mother named me Hauntedkit. Probably because of my haunted face.” She looked down at her paws, her icy eyes glistening. Ghost leaned into her, and Spirit intertwined his tail with hers. “Anyway. That’s in the past. I left before I could get my warrior name. Who wants to be constantly reminded that you’re different from everyone else?” She still looked like she was sad, but before anyone could say anything else, she continued talking. “So, we could go beg for housefolk goodies in a couple days. What’s not to like? We’ll probably get petted, too. “Ugh.” Spirit shuddered. “Listen, I was raised to hate housefolk. But it’s really not that bad.” “Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say, Haunt.” The oldest of the trio rolled his eyes. “Fine. Whatever.” “Yay! We’re going together!” squealed Nutmeg. The young house cat stretched up to nudge each of their muzzles with her nose. “Thank you guys so much! We’re going to have so much fun!” ~two days later, Oct. 31st~ “Yayyyy!” Nutmeg exclaimed. “Are you guys ready?” She trotted up to them, wearing a pointy hat and a purple-and-black cape. “I’m a wiTCH!” “Cool?” Ghost grinned. “It’s like one of my housefolk but all spooky.” “Ohh.” Ghost nodded sagely. Nutmeg purred teasingly and nudged his shoulder with her muzzle. “You silly cat. You wouldn’t know the difference between my housefolk and witches!” “Your housefolk are witches!” “Okay, okay. Let’s get back to Nutmeg’s housefolk. I’m not exactly sure what these treats entail, but it sounds fun!” Haunt exclaimed. The four cats trotted out of the alley, silhouetted against the setting sun. The light cast long shadows behind them, spreading over the ground like a carpet of darkness. Far away, a she-cat awoke with a start… And her green eyes flashed pure white. This is set in between chapters 9 and 10 of Ivywhisker’s Truth. I’m pretty sure you can guess who the she-cat is 😉 I hope you liked it! Bai!

short, but very good book!. Although this isn’t the longest super edition, it’s very fast-paced and there’s not a lot of time for any filling action. *spoilers!* And now why those meanies deserved to die Why ravenwing deserved to die: he should have kept his vision to himself instead of telling it to mapleshade. I mean, is you see kits playing in the River, don’t just blurt out something like that. Keep an eye on the kits, and if you get concerned, discuss it with your leader. Why frecklewish deserved to die: you broke the warrior code! You could’ve at least helped Appledusk save them instead of just watching the kits drown. And also stop being a brat. Just because the kits aren’t Birchface’s kits doesn’t mean you get to just watch them die! I feel like she deserved to get bitten by the snake. She watched the kits die, so no more watching anything for you! *yoink* Why appledusk deserved to die: eh. He persuaded his clanmates to blame mapleshade so he wouldn’t have to get punished. What a little stinker! I’d say he deserved to die. Stop saving your own pelt and think about somebody else for once. The clans sent out a PERFECTLY good warrior just because it’s something they didn’t want. I’d say they learned from their mistakes by losing three warriors. ~Featherfrost and Finpod of riverclan

Ravenwing is a big fat LOSER. Ravenwing (and applefur) ruined mapleshade’s life! I really like the book though. :)

The River was swollen from rain but she and her kits crossed anyway, which ended up with her kits drowning and her mate, AppleDusk, hating her for some reason. Mapleshade is a good cat. It's not Mapleshade's fault she had to get revenge. I have the book "Shadows of the Clans" at home. It's a pretty good book, containing "Mapleshade's Vengeance", "Goosefeather's Curse", and "Ravenpaw's Farwell". Of course, Mapleshade's Vengeance is my favorite story. It isn't Mapleshade's fault. She fell in love with Appledusk, a RiverClan cat, and had his kits, Larchkit, Patchkit, and Petalkit. But one day, she takes them out of camp to get away from a bossy elder. Mapleshade's kits fall in the river and end up swimming. Unfortunately, Ravenwing, the ThunderClan medicine cat, sees them and tells Oakstar, who then exiles Mapleshade and her kits. They then head over to RiverClan for safety, but the kits drown in a flood. Appledusk blames Mapleshade on the kits' deaths. That's as much of the story I'm telling you! -deadlycobra(Minecraft PE) -emerso1(Animal Jam computer and Play Wild)

Awesome Book. I have been wanting to read this ever since! Now, I’ve read it and I understand everything that Crookedstar has been through. Mapleshade just wanted revenge, but she could have faced the other consequences. I kinda hate Appledusk for what he did...

Don’t hate me for saying this. . .. But I think Mapleshade’s my second favorite Warrior cat I started reading this series when I was 7 or 8 and I turned 12 two months ago and until January of 2023, I did not have a fav Warrior cat. They were all awesome!! But then I got a list of dislikes. Tigerstar 1.0 Rainflower Firestar Bramblestar Blackstar (a lot of ‘stars. Yes I hate a lot of them) Tigerstar 2.0 Dovewing Dawnpelt ASHFUR 😡😡😡😡😡 Yeah a lot, but now I have my first fav and second fav Prepare yourselves b/c this may shock you. . . 1st fav: Leopardstar of RiverClan (it was her super edition’s fault) (Yes I know she’s dead still like her) 2nd fav: Mapleshade (Idc if she was evil, I like her that way and I would side with her over Ravenwing or Frecklewish or Appledusk (the 3 cats she killed in this book spoiler) She may have killed Spottedleaf but honestly I don’t really like Spottedleaf or Sandstorm so deal with it

Awesome. Mapleshade is my favorite bad guy right next to Hawkfrost!!! Altho I feel sorry for her Chapter 2 Pantherwind paced back and forth, ears pricked and tail lashing. A twig cracked in the distance, and the same moment a fox barked, obviously surprised. A tail whisking over leaves sounded nearby, making Pantherwind sigh and sit down. “Just come out!” She spat. A loud purr sounded from Moon’s throat as he padded out of the brush. “You’re so funny.” He purred. “Oh I am? I never would’ve guessed seeing as you say that all the time.” Pantherwind meowed, pushing Moon to the ground. “Get off of me you great big lump!” He fake wailed. “Never, not until I’m dead!” Pantherwind yowled, sitting down on top of him. “Shh keep it down!” Moon whispered, shooting to his paws, and knocking Pantherwind over. Pantherwind layed in one spot stunned, while Moon scanned the undergrowth. “Get in a tree.” Moon whispered. Pantherwind looked at the tom curiously. “Now!” Pantherwind flinched at his hiss, but turned and padded slowly and silently towards a tree. She froze. She looked over her shoulder. And there was a dog. A big slobbering dog, pinning Moon to the ground. Pantherwind snarled. The dog’s head shot up. Its mouth was open, tongue hanging out. Pantherwind pinned her ears, flattening herself to the ground. “Run!!!” Moon yowled, as the dog leapt off of him, landing a tail-length away from Pantherwind. “Yeah, I’m out.” Pantherwind ran racing up a tree with the dog at her heels, and Moon at the dogs heels. Moon launched himself up next to Pantherwind, looking down at the dog. “Go higher.” Pantherwind murmured. Moon nodded and started scrambling up the tree while Pantherwind launched herself over the edge, landing on the dogs back. She tore at the dog, biting it’s neck until it threw her off, only for another cat to leap on it. A tom. A ginger tom. A cat with green eyes. A tom that Pantherwind knew. Firepaw. Pantherwind lowered her head as her Clan turned their gazes towards her and Moon. “You broke the rules.” Bluestar growled. Tigerclaw stood nearby his amber eyes slits, his gaze focused on Moon in suspicion. “I know Bluestar.” Pantherwind admitted. “But StarClan was telling me to...” Moon dug his claws into the ground next to her. “If I might be so bold,” Moon started, “I know who led the dog to us.” Silence. “I had smelled him spying on us since when we first met.” He continued. “He smelled a lot like Pantherwind, but with a small difference.” No. Pantherwind thought. It can’t be. Tigerclaw stood up and padded closer to Moon rage boiling in his eyes. “Who might you be staking this accusation on?” Pantherwind’s father snarled. “You.” Moon hissed. “In case you haven’t forgotten our little pep talk.” “Either way I’ve been waiting to be brought here.” Moon commented as Tigerclaw opened his mouth to say something. “I would love it if I were given your most superior permission to join ThunderClan, Bluestar.” “I’m starting to like you.” Bluestar murmured. “You talk fancy and politely to me, and you aren’t afraid to lay down your suspicions.” Moon didn’t flinch as Bluestar jumped down from the Highrock in front of him. “You’ve been accepted.” Bluestar proclaimed. “Thank you.” Moon said, dipping his head. “But you must take on apprentice duties for two moons.” Bluestar commented dryly. “I understand.” Moon responded smoothly. “Pantherwind you’ll teach him the ways of the Clans.” Bluestar snapped. “Dismissed.” Pantherwind nodded and turned away, headed for the warriors den while Firepaw guided Moon to the apprentices den where he would sleep that night. ————————————————— I hope that everyone likes the story so far. Review. A great book, showing us a new story about a evil shecat. While I do want a novella like this for Snowtuft, this one was very good! I feel sorry for Maple

This book is amazing but 2 things. 1. I hate appledusk like he could of saved their kits and he literally blamed mapleshade about the death of her kits! He should have gone to the place of no stars and he chose reedshine instead of mapleshade if it weren’t for appledusk mapleshade might have been happy or went to Starclan 2. Reedshine😡😡😡😡😡😡 Reedshine ruined this book like why does she have to ruin mapleshade’s life and to be honest, they should of never put reedshine in the book and reedshine and appledusk don’t deserve kits. (Or at least she should have been a kittypet that appledusk hates)

Hi! Here’s the Clans in the area!. I do feel bad for Mapleshade. I don’t think she deserved to go to Dark Forest. Yes, I know she killed a lot, but she was in DePrEsSiOn if you think about it. Three kits, drowning, warriors watching, warriors ignore pleas for help, and kits die. Her kits. Not cool Appledusk, RavenWing, and anyone else watching. IceClan; lives in the mountains (idk. Not my clan.) DewClan; camps in the forest, a newly founded clan, they sleep in little holes, and the way that they get water, is that they harvest it from leaves that they leave in front of their dens. Leader—DewStar GeodeClan(my lil sister’s clan); they live in a huge, dark, cave in the mountains, the cave is big enough to hold an entire territory. They sleep o the rocky crevices in the walls. Leader—ChrystalWhisker/Star GorgeClan; a clan that lives in a gorge (idk much about them 😂) MeadowClan; clan that lives in a meadow(idk much about them either 😂) Also anyone who’s in my clan if you see a review and your cat is listed as available, please let me know!! It’s a big mistake if you do see that!

Idk, I mean they were both kits, let me know what you think) 6. Talltail x Jake 7. Ravenpaw x Barley 8. And finally, Longtail x Mousefur Um that’s it for now, ig Bai!! Siren: lol one of my other fandoms, Genshin Impact, has some strange ships in the fandom. I actually have only one, maybe two, ships for the 50+ total characters. I’ve seen a couple that are… um… really bad. But yes, the Badgerfang and Mosskit ship was because even though Badgerfang was an apprentice when he died, he wasn’t six moons old yet. I ❤️Mapleshade. Mapleshade has always been my favorite villain and ever since she told Crookedstar what happened to her, I’ve always wanted to read her backstory and I finally have. I feel very sorry for her.

I love this novella. I personally love the dark history on Mapleshade, Apledusk was a total jerk and betrayed her to reed shine after Mapleshade lost her kits. And raven wing was a tattle TAIL (haha cat puns) so Mapleshade has to kill three cats to avenge her kits! I recommend this novella for any scourge or Tigerstar fan, Mapleshade is not only my favorite villain in warriors, but she’s my favorite character in the whole entire warriors arc

Amazing book although…. I loved Mapleshade’s Vengeance. I’ve always liked the evil cats and the Dark Forest( a.k.a. The Place of No Stars) . But, during Frecklewish’s death I wish the Erin Hunter team went like this about it : Frecklewish stepped into the clearing and saw Mapleshade standing near Snakerocks. “ What are you doing here?!” she screeched. “ You were banned from ThunderClan!” Mapleshade looked Frecklewish up and down, she trembled with fury for the loss of her kits. “ You killed my kits!!” Mapleshade snarled back.” While they were drowning you just stood by watched!!! … You wanted them to die!!” Frecklewish gasped. “ I thought they were fine, I saw RiverClan warriors on the bank!” Mapleshade curled her lip.” You thought wrong!!” Just then she put her paw on the stone blocking the adder nest.” You’ll pay for what you’ve done!!” Mapleshade screeched in fury. She removed the stone, revealing an adder, curled up, ready to strike. “ What are you doing, Mapleshade? What are you-“ Frecklewish broke off with a yowl as the adder struck. It’s deadly fangs enclosed on her left eye. Frecklewish leaped backward, hissing and screeching in agony. “ Help! Help! An adder’s bit me!!!” The adder unlatched itself from her eye and slithered back to its nest. Mapleshade watched in content as Frecklewish writhed on the ground. She could see pus seeping from Frecklewish’s bloody eye. It was a cloudy mess, Mapleshade couldn’t see her real eye color anymore. Mapleshade turned and stalked away into the undergrowth. She couldn’t be seen by ThunderClan. She could hear panicked yowling behind her. Were you watching, Petalkit? Mapleshade thought. I hope you are free now, along with Larchkit. Mapleshade had only one more kit to avenge now. Patchkit, her beloved son who loved her more than life itself . Now there was only one other cat who had to pay. Mapleshade walked toward the RiverClan border. I’m coming for you, Appledusk. Anyway, still enjoyed the book although I had ideas for it.

Wolfstep00. Good book but when she joined the dark forest didn't she know she would never see her kits again even though the whole book was her trying to get to them and why was she still made if she had gone to starclan she would be with her kits and would be happy🤔

Best villain. The second I heard about Mapleshade, she was my instant favorite. She was cruel, sneaky, and not to mention she’s the only female villain. This book gives the reader a great backstory! It helps us see why she was such a jerk to Crookedstar and what role she played in the Dark Forest. Without Mapleshade, there would literally be no warriors series cuz she started the whole idea of training dark forest cats to murder living cats. 5 stars! P.S. Appledusk needs to kill himself. P.P.S His leader was an idiot P.P.P.S. Jayfeather4life🐈🐈🐈
