Good Book. I didn't even realize this was a religious book. I myself am religious but I tend to dislike the genre because I hate feeling "forced" to feel emotion or some epiphany that happens in that type of book. This book wasn't like that the ending came more subtly and I felt the portrayal of the protagonist's issue was realistic. Overall a good book.

Shattered Rose. Awesome book! It shows how imperfect we are, but through God's love and sacrifice we are still loved and His children. This book in inspiring to all of us imperfect people.

Shattered Rose. What a wonderful book. I am well over the target age for this read but fell in love with the quality of the writing. The author did a fine job of being the voice of today’s college student. Her ability to weave the relationship of a Christian with a non-beliver was very well done and I applaud her for making her characters flawed with contemporary problems. It is a very relatable book and hope that her she is able to reach many young adults with it’s message. I will recommend this book to not only the young adult crowd, but also parents of high schoolers who are about to enter college. I think that parents will find this book very helpful as well as entertaining.

Couldn't stop reading!. The book was wonderful and gives great insight into the world of being in a relationship of obsession rather than true love. I recommend this writer. I plan to keep reading the series. Thumbs up.

A must read. This book is an absolutely perfect story in every way. A story, in my opinion, that could only make your life better by having read it. The worst part about this book was the end because I wanted to read more.

It's Amazing!. I loved this book! It was nothing at all what I expected, I grew to love every character in the book and like I knew where they were coming from and their pain. It's a great book I couldn't stop reading it, I love how it's slightly a Christian book almost but not shoving it down your throat or judgmental at all. Love this book, just wish I could read the other two books on here as well. 😒

This book had me through the roof when we first met Parker he almost had me crying when he proposed and then Jake was so obviously obsessed with her but then let her go and then omg I was just done when y’all had the twist in the beginning where we thought her life was gonna be Jake but it was actually Parker and he just swooped in and saved her and I like your including GOD and it just had me done with everything and I was so shocked at times but also had me in my feelings at others and I’m thirteen and I don’t have many people to talk to about my feelings about myself and this book helped me so much with self love and THANK YO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR THIS

Mixed feelings. As a “Christian” novel I was extremely disappointed in the graphic nature of much of the story. The same situations could have been presented in a more tasteful manner. That said, I wasn’t always a Christian and much of the story was actually a very realistic example of situations girls face, their skewed perceptions of themselves and relationships. The ending was the exact opposite in my opinion. I don’t see that all working out in reality, but if we wanted reality we wouldn’t be reading fiction right. So I’m ok with it). One major editing error… when the main character is going to her friend’s parents houses. The locations were so mixed up it was distracting from the story.

Wow..... All I can say is wow. This book did not come out as I was expecting but in a good way. I was expecting a typical love triangle story. But no... this was better. The plot was great, the writing very decent and good, the ending was the best. I LOVED the scripture verses that were put after every chapter. Coming from a family where the Bible is a big thing, this just filled my heart. I could never tell how the outcome to this story would be. It always had me second guessing. But I was SO glad when it turned out the way I was hoping. I definitely feel this book deserves a 5 stars and I recommend it to anyone. Good job to the author, I now have a favorite that I'll be reading over and over!

Mediocre modern day retelling of Book of Hosea. Though the author does a good job at chronicling the complexity of Avery’s journey through low self worth, the story falls apart for me with the one-dimensional Christian hero. I just don’t ever really buy them together and so am never quite rooting for them. Perhaps a scene where Parker is in conflict with his Christian friends and/or family over his dating Avery may have given him more depth as a character.

Compelling. This is a very compelling story, examining many of the challenges and hardships today's young adults face and struggle with. The characters are real and rich The story is realistic and shows the true difference of outlooks between a believer and uninformed person The love triangle is one faced daily by many choosing between something pulling you in a self destructive cycle or something that will bless you every day

OH MY GOODNESS. This is my first fictional book and first Christian fiction book. I am blown away; I could’ve read 20 more chapters! This book was so lovely the best part is that it all lead to winning a soul to Christ.. just brilliant 😢😢😢😢😢

Beautiful Story. This book is raw and captivating. To the point I started and finished it within 24 hours. It embraces the reality so many face. It will take you on a road with issues in some shape or form we’ve all faced. All in all it shows no matter what you have going on or the choices you make YOU deserve love and to love yourself.

Good read!. Love the topic, storyline and the characters! Great story about how not to love those that love themselves too much that they destroy those around them, we need to love ourselves but not at the expense of others. Good story and well told. Stayed up all night, had to know what happened!

Great read. Wonderful story! It's so nice to read a romance that relies on a great story rather than graphic sex scenes to catch and hold your interest.

Because we all need love❤️. This book was inspiring! I love how it is not only a beautiful love story about self love and trusting someone enough to love you but also about loving Christ. This book is a must read especially for those ladies whom have never felt good enough to be loved unconditionally!

Shattered Rose. Avery makes me want to whack her head. My heart broke for Parker because Avery been continually with bad influence. The story of indecisions, emotional, mixed up people. I was dreading the final chapter...it's a relief it wasn't!! Whew

Unconditional love story. Captivating story line that awakens emotions in your soul. One of the best books I have read this year! Including the bible and knowing that you can get through any obstacle with prayer is amazing. Letting go and letting God.❤️ the love I felt from reading this book touched my heart. Awesome read. Could not put it down

Different. Unlike most love story's most don't end up with finding yourself through Christ. They waited until marriage for lots of things. And I feel like most romance books & movies nowadays are just about lust. I also loved that after each chapter she gave a verse that helped her cope with what had happened after she found Christ.

BEST BOOK I’VE EVER READ.. BREATHTAKING. MARVELOUS. I was Completely blown away. I wish i could give this book 20003402349 stars :) thats how much i liked it. I simply could NOT put the book down, no matter how much i tried. I Read from page 200 to the end in just ONE sitting. many people who know me, know that i cant stay still for that long. I was completely hooked. Diction was 10/10. Not only did i like the theme but also the lesson of How knowing God can turn your world completely upside down.

A must read hands down!!!. This book spoke to me. We all struggle with insecurities on a daily basis and heart break here and there. We often think that we are unworthy of being loved and this book is wonderful because it shows averys struggle and in the end the only thing that made it right was that jesus christ loved her unconditionally and thats all she needed to regain strength.

Good book. I loved all through out the way although I didn’t really like the ending because I didn’t like who she ended up with but it’s just preference although I was sort able relate with Avery as I have issues With my weight and I’m also overweight I would also feel the same way she did when Parker told her the things he said to her and Jake did the things he did because he found her attractive but yeah

Loved it !. I couldn't put the book down! I love how honest and relatable this book is. I didn't realize there was a Christian theme when I first downloaded it but I was pleasantly surprised. The message of faith and unconditional love was beautifully woven into the story.

Refreshing. This story held me captive. It is so refreshing to read a book that enraptures the reader with emotions, not the down and dirty stuff. The author eloquently laces God's message with the healing message of self-love. I'm hoping for a second book of Parker and Avery's next phase!

Eh. It was okay. The back and worth with the main character was annoying and the book information said nothing about it being a religious book which is very frustrating as well.

Hard Subject - Beautiful Story. After a few chapters I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this story.....didn't seem to be my thing. I was wrong. We never know what battle someone is fighting and we probably never guess how we might have contributed to that battle. It was a hard subject but covered in a beautiful story.

Shattered Rose. This is the most inspiring and uplifting book I've read. Its really motivated me to see that relationships should be motivating you to love God. Beautiful lessons learnt from this book I would highly recommend!

A story that anyone can relate to. A captivating story that anyone can relate to. Realistic and empowering in daily lives. I felt as if I was reading my own life story, obviously not similar in what happened, but how life is like, and our journey. Until we surrender to Christ, we're blinded by the lies of evil from the love of Jesus. Can't wait to continue reading the next book.

Shattered Rose. As a Christian I was disappointed with this book. I kept thinking, is this really a Christian book. Most of the book was about someone pawing someone's body and then a few pages at the end about accepting the Lord. Why would Parker be ok with having a romance with someone who didn't know the Lord? Why would a Christian plan a long road trip with the opposite sex and think this is ok? Would anyone who isn't a Christ follower be convicted reading this book?

Absorbing story with God’s truth woven throughout. Overall, this is a very good story that demonstrates the truth of God’s love for each of us. It even provides encouragement and support for learning one’s identity within Him which is the first step to truly seeing ourselves and loving ourselves as He desires. The characters are alive and real and pulled me in. I had to read it in one sitting. I cried as I watched Avery come to know God’s unconditional love and who she is in Him. Seeing her begin to look at herself the way her Heavenly Father does helped me to continue to grow in that area within myself. The fact that I am in my early 50s and this story is about a college student in her early 20s didn’t lessen its effect on my emotions and spiritual growth. Being a middle aged woman I am mildly frustrated that the story is about young adults in college. However, the feelings and beliefs of all of the characters occur at all ages. This makes them relatable no matter what your age. Parker’s actions are those of a wise and Godly man and Avery’s final realization and decision are those of a woman after God’s own heart. The prayers at the beginning of each chapter are beautiful. I would have liked to have had the references of the scripture they are based on. It also would be nice to have them all on one page at the end of the book for easy reference in the future. The characters are well written and quite believable. They are, of course, more extreme than the average person since this is a story. Also, it does seem like Parker and Avery’s story was quickly wrapped up but this happens with most stories. They have to come to a conclusion and most don’t get into the monotony of real life that follows the courtship stage of a couple’s romance. I hope that more of their story unfolds in the other books in the series. I’m glad that there is a book dedicated to each of Issy’s and Jake’s stories since neither was completed in this one. I look forward to reading them both.
