I am a retired elementary school teacher with a BA in Natural Science from San Jose State University. I taught kindergarten through second grade for sixteen years in Rancho Cordova, CA. My love of children and nature have inspired me to write nonfiction books about animals for kids in order to awaken enthusiasm for nature and to promote literacy and lifelong learning.

Cool. This book is great! Not as good as the book butterflyโs by the same author but it was a very fascinating and informational book
Raptors and Owls. I found the books very informative for the age range and easy to read. The pictures they provided were very colorful but limited. When explaining the many of the features of Raptors and Owls and what they could do the pictures just showed them perched somewhere. Not exciting and after seeing a few of pictures it became boring. The writing while easy was very repetitive good for lower ages but not challenging enough to keep older children or young adults awake. For the Free price I recommend Raptors and Owls as a good buy. I will try 1 or 2 of the other books such as tigers and sharks. Hoping the pictures and writing will capture the animals in action. Keeping young adults more awake. Making it worth the purchase price.
