El tercer hombre es uno de los verdaderamente grandes películas de la posguerra. Es una historia emocionante de mercado negro como telón de fondo de Viena, en la inmediata posguerra, cuando la ciudad fue dividida en cuatro zonas entre las grandes potencias: Rusia, Gran Bretaña, Francia y Estados Unidos.
