Must read. Where do I begin with this review? As always when reading a favorite author, I wonder, where did it begin? Where did my love for their writing occur? Was it recommended by an Amazon bot that thought I would like the book, did a friend suggest it, or did the author reach out? It feels like a lifetime ago that I found Lauren Rowe as an author, and yet, according to Goodreads was only three years. Well, many stories later, I'm still a huge fan of Lauren's writing and books. This, is her latest release, a part of the Misadventures Series, and is just as refreshing and wonderful as ever. This story begins with Savvy and how the twist of the universe, fate, or whatever gives her the big finger. Contrary to her name, she is a hot mess just trying to survive in a world that wants to drown her. I loved the personality that Lauren gave Savvy. I mean there were so many times that she could wallow, and while she had her moments to come to grips with what happened, she flipped fate the finger and kept on moving forward. Savvy had a quirkiness about her that was easy to like. She was fun and spontaneous but cautious and guarded at the same time. The entire time I read the story, I felt Savvy grow and become the awesomest version of herself. Aiden was a guy who needed fate to give him a little luck. He has a past but doesn't want to have it repeating itself. His journey lands him smack in the middle of Savvy's curse to the fates and need to leap out of her norm. What Aiden didn't expect was how Savvy's not so savvy ways penetrated his heart. Lauren made you feel Aiden's internal struggle. Each time he wanted to go one way but went the opposite, you felt what he was feeling. I'm not quite sure I've read a character like Aiden before. None come to mind, and that made him uniquely original to me. Watching how he helped Savvy become more than savvy showed him growing into more. He has a heart of gold and the action that follows him will have you laughing, but at the same time what he does for Savvy, will have your heart melting. It was such a fun fast paced story to read. I couldn't put it down and consumed this in three hours. It was light-hearted with some drama but overall just gave you laughs, heart mushiness, and cheers for the ending. Lauren did an excellent job on the plot, arc, and flow of the story. I didn't feel like I was left in the dark about any little nugget of information she fed us. It's one of the things I enjoy immensely about her work. I definitely recommend this book if you like contemporary romances with some fun antics and a whole lot of heart. 5 pirouetting pointe shoes from this blogger.

Loan sharks, birthday parties, algorithms and so much more.  You get the swoons, you get the smexy times, you will get all the feels and more!  Ms. Rowe never lets you down! Get this story, enjoy the hijinxs!


I fell in love with this rebound!. I love a Lauren Rowe book; she has never disappointed me! She always has the perfect combination of humor, heat & heart, & this book is no exception. I laughed out loud on the very first page and throughout the book! Then Aiden & Savvy together added the heat which continued throughout the book & made me hot & bothered! Lastly, the heart - I felt so much emotion for Savvy & Aiden, for their journey & I was rooting for them the whole time. Even the ending made me cry & smile at the same time! I fell in love in with this Rebound & so will you!

Rebound...and SCORE!. When street smarts and book smarts mix, the result is beautiful. Aidan and Savvy came from very different backgrounds but came together to complete each other. Definitely some unexpected twists and turns in this one. Lauren Rowe has done it again.

Utterly amazing. I’m enthralled with Savvy and Aiden. I was happily surprised with the crossover of Misadventures on the Night Shift. Savvy and Aiden’s banter is wonderful. Their white hot chemistry, off the charts. What they have to resolve so they can be together, worth it. HEA. Highly recommended.

Take a gamble on love!. This book was awesome! Loved Aiden and Savvy! Savvy who is not savvy and Aiden with the street smarts! It all starts with chicken girl and ends with a porno! Get ready for a great ride to Vegas! Go for the gamble, stay for the love! 5 stars

Fantastic read!. Another fantastic book from Lauren Rowe. I loved the fast paced, twists and turns of misadventures on the rebound. I loved Savvy who isn’t Savvy and Aiden who isn’t ugly, again the characters are very well written and relatable. Lauren Rowe hasn’t written a bad word, she could rewrite the phone book and I’d devour it!!

So I’ve saved for the first miserable (weather wise) day that there was. Savvy not Savvy and Aiden are the perfect couple. She’s a Maths genius and Aiden’s dreamy music. Just perfect 😍😍
