The seventh season of the American police procedural television series S.W.A.T. premiered on CBS on February 16, 2024, with a total of 13 episodes. S.W.A.T. follows an elite Special Weapons and Tactics unit of the Los Angeles Police Department. The show is based on the 2003 film S.W.A.T. and the original 1975 TV series of the same name, which is a spinoff series of the 1971 crime drama series The Rookies. The series was originally cancelled by CBS after six seasons on May 5, 2023. Three days later, on May 8, CBS and Sony reached a new agreement to renew the series for a seventh and final season. However, on April 11, 2024, the series was renewed for an eighth season. The season was impacted by both the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike and 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.
